long time no see :) plaqstics questions

Good morning everyone,
Its been awhile since i posted..but do stop by now and then...i saw a new doctor today...talked to him extensively about plastics.. have medicare so it makes it rough...i told him about all the problems its causing me...physically, emotionally and all...he got me a consult on April 14th in Blacksburg VA. and told me he would do anything he could to help me..just wondering if anyone has any advice for me on how to make this happen..Hope youre all doing well...and i look forward to hearing from any and all..

I have Medicare and am VERY interested in seeing any responses you get, although I am still fairly new out, 9 months, and have a bit more to lose.

I am having problems now with the rashes under the breasts and in the groins, so bad that they end up with a secondary infection. But I also had problems with them before surgery, when I was 318 lbs. They caused me to be hospitalized. I do make sure now that every time I get one, I have pics taken of it, with the time/date stamped on the camera, and I call my dr to let him know, so that everything can be documented.

I wish you luck on your next leg of this journey. Congratulations on al the accomplishments thus far.

Wow you have did awesome...i lost to 226...when i went for my first plastis to years ago and was told no...i gave up..in a way...this morning i hit 265....i have a consult 4/14...so my plan is to get back to 226 or lower by then...and make this happen...i will let you know anything i find out...i have been getting skin ulcers...i have a history of MRSA outbreaks...so i mentioned that...also mentioned the back pain...then the emotional role it plays..i love to go without a shirt now..but get many rude remarks...keep your fingers crossed for me  with the weight loss and the plastics..

Where have you been?  It seems like forever since I have seen you...much less seen you posting!  I am glad you are here.

I have no advice on Medicare and plastics but can tell you with any insurance you need documentation and pictures at the least. 

I would also recommend consulting with Dr. Krieger in Northern Virginia.  It is a bit of distance for you, but he is an artist and specializes in WLS patients!

Hey Randy! Thanks so much! I still have about 48 to get to my goal but my surgeon wants to get me to 170. I'm just glad I'm healthier now, for the most part.

When I have gotten the rashes before, several times they have ended up with MRSA. I have had it 5 times from them. Which is why I usually end up admitted to the hospital. And I can relate to the rude remarks. Although now, I am finding that I am harder on myself than others are. I still see the 318 lb woman in the mirror. But I'm sure you can relate.

I will DEFINITELY keep you in my prayers and and keep my fingers & toes crossed for you with you getting back on track and with the plastics. I will definitely be keeping my eye on your progress. Thanks so much!

I started at 461 Dec 05...lost to 236...am at 265 over 3 years out...i think thats still pretty good...i just hope i can get this back off and get plastics...

Randy my man where have you been you need to post more often so good to see ya again DONT GIVE UP DUDE!!!! We are so worth the fight I here ya on the emotional issues, I have a consult coming up on a second round of plastics but heck Im not gonna worry about insurance and throw in the towel and start looking into loans  or whatever it takes to get what I want to make myself happy we are the only ones who can do this so think about it there are some places out there that will help you with there practices to get you finacing, and like Tammy already  suggested Dr Kriegler will direct you and Im using one local here in C'ville I here also she has a place she uses so maybe there will be other options for you! Keep me posted. Be strong you look awesome I remember seeing you @ Dr S. when we started this journey!
