Liver Problems

Oh you are very welcome. I learned about the tylenol issue when I found out about the aspirin issue. That too much aspirin can eat the lining of your stomach, much like ibuprofen. I too, take tylenol or the generic. I swear the one thing I miss since WLS isn't a certain food but the ability to take an ibuprofen. Especially since I have had nothing but sinus issues for 6 straight months.

Like you, my taking of the tylenol is no where near the dangerous dose. I read in the article that it is more leaning towards those that are using it as a form of suicide.

It truly is all about moderation. Thanks for your article too!

I am sorry you are having issues with your liver but I am sure that tylenol taken in small quantities is safer than many other pain killers and much kinder on our stomachs..... and of course they always suspect alcohol first too.... I hope they get to the bottom of it all and it is good that your doctor is referring you so quickly....

Please keep us informed as I am curious on what could cause this too.... Good luck for your appointment....

I am sorry to hear you are having to deal with this, Sherry.  I wish I had some information to share, but unfortunately, I don't.  Please know that I am thinking about you, and hope that things turn out well.  Please let us know how you are doing.

Good morning!  First of all I wanted to let you know you are and will remain in my prayers.  I am looking forward to an update after you see the doctor.  I think I am the only one on here that has had liver problems since surgery.  My numbers were extremely low about a year ago.  After seeing a specialist and having them rechecked three times they came back "normal" but still on the lower end of normal.  My Vit D levels were also low at the same time.  I began taking a "booster" every month and all looks good now!  I have been told that as long as you remain within the recommended dose of tylenol products you are fine.
