Does the 2 week stall usually last? It's so irritating to have stopped cold on my weight loss. I know it's normal. I just want to hear your experiences of how long it lasted. Thanks! :)

I didn't know there was a typical stall at 2 weeks.  Glad to hear it because I have been the same for three days....grrrrrr

I am sure the amount of time varies person to person, but know that it will end, and your weight loss will keep up.  Your body is adjusting.  It seems that during these stalls we see inches start coming off -- not sure why, but it seems to work that way.  Just keep doing what you are doing -- you're going to be so pleased!  :)

I do not think you are in a stall!  Your body is trying to figure out what is going on.  It is saying "hey...this is not what I am normally experiencing".  Just give it time...your body needs to adjust!

Mine was almost 3 weeks in the first month...I was very upset until I noticed that I was dropping inches like MAD during that time...make sure you pay attention to your inches as well as pounds. Dr. Barker said it's completely normal...just keep on respecting the POUCH!!! LOL

Stall's in general are normal.  I don't know that there is anything set in stone as to when they happen (at two weeks, two months or two years) or how long they will last.  I am in my first real true stall right now.  But during the first year after surgery I never went 5-7 days without losing weight.  It was fairly steady.  Keep your chin up.  I bet you'll see a big jump when you start losing again.  This is just your body's way of being defiant and saying "what the heck?" LOL

We have the same surgery day ... this has to be normal like everyone is telling us.  I am not losing right now either ... the scale is the devil I tell ya.  I put on my jeans the other day and WOAH, lots of room in the legs, butt and belly, I couldn't believe it!  Take your measurments, see if you see a change.  I have been pissed for the last week ... I have only lost a few pounds in the last week :(

It will pick up for us .... I am optimistic :)  Just follow your diet to a "T" and the weight is sure to pick up for us soon **I hope**.
