Excited to have found this site.

I was on the main board, then i saw state, so i put in va. & was so excited. My surgery is next month, please keep me & my family in your prayers. I would love to come to support meetings, I thought that I would be fine with just my husband and two children for support, however after reading and readind & research, support groups are great. I no other relatives here, so this is great. To God be the glory.

Welcome rduck!   I just had my surgery last month.  Remember, there are no dumb questions - so if you need our support or just want to chat; The people on our board are great and very supportive.   We're here for all of us!  Good luck with your surgery!

Hi Rduck -

I'm right there with you - my surgery is with Dr. Halmi/Tran on 2/23.  I wish you much success - I know we can be great support to each other.  I don't know where you are located - but if you are in the Fredericksburg Area  - there is a support meeting that meets the 2nd Wednesday of the Month.  I went last night and it was wonderful.  It's so great to talk to people face to face who have gone through what you are going through!  I would highly recommend it!  This site is also a great source of information and support.  Good Luck!

Good morning rduck, and a big welcome to the Va.board . Keep us posted and if you have any questions just ask away.  Our board is one big family, loving an supportive to each other. I would be lost without the friends from this board and all the good advice I received during my weight loss.
I'll move over and save you a spot on the losers bench.

I'm not sure where you are located, but there is a support group meeting the second Monday of every month in Chantilly, VA. Let me know if you'd like more details.
