Welcome to Monday!

Well...another weekend gone!  I have to admit I am looking forward to this weekend coming up because I get a three day weekend.  How was your weekend?  Whats on the books for your Monday?

Our weekend was pretty good...for the most part.  Adam's mother has gone completely psycho and won't let him talk to us so we don't know if he is Ok or not.  I am worried about him.  Please pray for him and her, too.  She seriously needs some mental help but won't admit to it or go and get any.  I don't even know where she has taken him to to try and check on him.  Other than all the drama she has caused we had a fairly decent weekend.  I posted Saturday and Sunday so I won't bore you with the details again!

As for Monday...I am up and at 'em leaving for work in a few minutes.  As is a normal Monday I am working an extra long day.  I hope to be home by 8 tonight and I do have extra paperwork to do when I get home.  I am sure I will be cranky and tired...but I am praying that all goes smoothly.  Nothing major planned.  I am going to leave dinner to Steve.  I am hoping he cooks something on the grill so I do not have to clean up anything!  Actually...I think he will be cooking on the grill a lot this week.  The temps look good at least thru Wednesday.  We have an agreement...whoever cooks does not have to clean and the one who does not cook cleans up.  This is not the case when he cooks on the grill...then he cooks and cleans everything.  It kind of evens out because when I cook I clean as I go and all he really has to clean is our dinner dishes and maybe a pot or pan.

Prayers are still going up for a lot of folks and I am looking forward to getting some updates.

Enjoy a fabulous day and make the most of it.

Good morning, beautiful.  I know about the crappy feelings and sticking to yourself...I am having one of those mornings, too.  Hope your day turns around and you have a fabulous one.  The weather is looking up for the next couple of days.  I plan on getting out as much as I can!  Thanks for the prayers...we need them!

Okay, I'm in a posting mood this morning, so I am gonna play.  My weekend was busy, but not bad. My son Brian had a soccer game on Saturday and a basketball game on Saturday and Sunday, plus practice on Friday night. So we spend a lot of time cheering! It was fun though - I especially enjoy the basketball because the pace is fast and there is lots of action!

We saw STOMP at the Landmark Theater on Saturday night with friends and that was a blast. This is the 7th time I have seen it and I could honestly see it every month and never tire of it. We went with friends whose company I really enjoy, so that was a bonus. The best part for me is that even with my weight re-gain, I can still fit into those TINY seats at the Landmark and that makes me smile, no matter what.

I tried a new recipe this weekend and was quickly hooked - cottage cheese pancakes. I have read about them for a while now, but never tried them. They are excellent - light and fluffy and very satisfying. I have made a batch daily since Friday and am looking forward to them again this morning. Instead of syrup, I melt some SF apple butter or frozen fruit and eat them with that - very yummy.

I am hoping for a productive day today at work... and for a chance to clean up around the house. When we have a busy weekend, I sometimes slack off on the "picking up", then can't stand it any more and have to get everything back in order!

Hope everyone has a great day and I am keeping many close in my heart.

Good morning, beautiful!  It is so good to see your smiling facr this morning!  I am glad you are doing well.  I envy you for seeing STOMP.  One day...I will make it there!  The games sound fun.  I used to love to go to Kara's games and cheering but she doesn't do any anymore!  Cottage cheese pancakes are awesome and loaded with all of the good proteins.  I love the idea of fresh fruit instead of SF syrup.  I usually just use some spray butter.  I am going to try the fruit!  I am not a big fan of apple butter.  Prayers for a very productive day.  I need one of those myself.

Hey pretty lady,

I love cottage cheese pancakes. I haven't made them in a while--thanks for the reminder!

This weekend was very relaxing even though I threw out my back and it hurts like a*&#&^.
I've already been to work this AM and will go back for 4 hours @ 2PM. Thankfully the weather is nice and the 55 little darlings can play outside.

I'm praying for many of you here on this board who are going through very tough times.

Other than that I'm counting down till Saturday. I have a birthday/Valentines dinner date with hubby at McCormick and Schmicks in Virginia Beach.

Good morning Tammy, My weekend was busy busy busy. I  got up cooked breakfast and got the two youngest granddaughters ready and went to the hospital so they could see there mom. Left there took Emily to a birthday party and Becca and I went to wal-mart to get Valentines for her. Came home and help Becca address her valentines and then went back to hospital to see Jackie. Emily spent the night with her friend and so I just had Becca which I enjoy so much having the grandkids around.
Sunday I didn't make to church as I slept in. Went to t he hospital to see Jackie with my oldest granddaughter Hannah 11 and came back and cooked supper then headed back up to the hospital with Emily. Came back gave them their snack and got them ready for bed and I went to bed also at 9:30.
Today I am going to do some laundry and dust then head back up to the hospital to see Jackie.
She is doing better. She is on orthopedic floor now. She is having a hard time walking. That pelvis is giving her so much pain. She uses a walker and walks on her tiptoes. Doesn't walk far. She doesn't feel the broken ribs yet as they are numb. They are going to wean her off of the epidural I think on Tuesday to see the pain level but not certain. She is going to post soon as she has her lap top with her. I just ask that everyone keep her in your prayers.
Love ya,
Betty

Betty,

I am keeping Jackie, you, your hubby and the grandkids close in thought and prayer.  I am glad they got to go and see her and that she is doing somewhat better.  My sister broke her pelvis in a car accident many years ago and it was horrible.  She also used a walker and it took her months to get back to "normal".  Physical Therapy was her best friend!  As always, I am here if you need anything...even if just to talk.  I am hoping to make it down that way in a week or two for a lunch or something...I will let you know when I am able to do it.  Hopefully you are free and we can catch up.  Love you!  Big hugs!
