What do you EAT for breakfast. Not looking for the protein shake answer.

I was thinking about cereral. What kind of cereral do you eat? Do you add fruit, like bananas or stawberrys. Regular Milk, 2%, or Skim.

I was thinking Corn Flakes, Splenda, bananas and milk. I never eat breakfast, but I know I need to, I did the turkey bacon and fried egg thing, I liked all of it, but want to change up some.

I eat Special K cereal (cinnamon pecans) it only has 7g sugar per serving
2% milk(just enough to make wet)

or I eat SF Oatmeal ( apple cinnamon flavor)

I personally dont add fruit and I have stomach issues with fresh fruit.

I'm generally not a big breakfast food eater. I typically eat anything that I'd eat at any time of the day.

But when I do eat "breakfast foods", I eat an egg, either scrambled of fried, and a half of piece of toast, no crust. I also eat low sugar quaker oat instant oatmeal. My flavor preference is maple & brown sugar. I am a few days over 9 months post op and have yet to try bacon or cereal with milk.

I sometimes feel like I want to change things up but I am a creature of habit and just as I get fixed to try something, I feel as though if I'm tolerating things why risk it. Kinda like, if it isn't broke, don't fix it. But I can relate to wanting to change things. Good luck finding things.

RNY on 09/19/07 with
Greek yogurt with a little Kashi Go Lean cereal, some berries, and Splenda.  Good source of protein, antioxidants, and tastes great.  :)

That is my breakfast too!  I echo what Cindy said.  I am addicted to this stuff,  Make sure you get the 0% plain.  There are several different brands.  My favorite is choboni and like it better then fage.  I also do the Kashi go lean in it.  And the splenda I used tyhe flovered for coffee ones.  They have french vanillia and mocha.  It is almost 20 grams of protien not to mention the Kashi go lean has pretty decent protien in it.  It really helps with my protien intake.  Me personally, i can not do cereal with milk.  Even with just enough milk to wet it, it hurts my tummy.

My breakfast is either regular oatmeal made with skim milk and a little grape nuts and fresh fruit added into it or greek yogurt with fresh fruit or cereal in it.  On the weekends I try to do eggs when I can but it is too hard during the week.  I dump off of cold cereal with milk.  In a rush I will have just a piece of fruit (like a banana) and I only drink/consume skim milk.  I always have a protein shake as soon as I wake up but I do not consider that breakfast!

my best breakfast is plain instant oatmeal with banana on the side or cut up in it and skim milk.  I seldom do toast.  Eggs haven't been agreeing with me lately

I'm going to look for that greek yogurt when i get pain on the 15th.

Make sure you add something to it like sweet and low, equal or splenda.  It is VERY bitter if you don't!  It isn't chaep but is yummy and loaded with protein.
