Who cares about us?

Yesterday I was scheduled for a nutrition class for RSG at 4 o'clock.  It is over an hour from my home and when I was on the way there I got a call to tell me that the class was at 2 o'clock and I had been given the wrong information.  I called the Office Manger and couldn't reach her.  Today she returned my call but I wasn't available at that time.  I called her back and she couldn't talk and said she would call me back in an hour.  That was at 10:30, I just called her again at 2:20 pm because she didn't call me back.  The result is that she is sorry and I wasn't the only one because it was the first time in 3 years that they have had the class at 2.  I really am not happy with this type of thing. People should know and do their jobs correctly.  To ease my mind she checked with the scheduler and gave me a surgery date,  March 9th, I have no faith in this at all and fully expect that sometime in the next 4 weeks that this will change and I will be pushed back.  I do hope that the aftercare is better than this, at this point they suck.

Not a good repore to go into a surgical relationship.  Are you sure these are the peopl you want to do your surgery or are there other issues involved also.

This a really good vent but it also seems you are at your wits end and I'm betting there is more going on that this one meeting getting rescheduled.

Go ahead,....empty both barrels. You'll feel better afterwards.

I agree with what Joe has said. Is there other problems besides this one? If not I think its the stress of surgery talking. If so, I would think long and hard before I let this practice do surgery on me. Good luck with what you decide.

I concur.  RSG is not the best choice in my opinion.  If you get this care preop...what will it be like post op???  You may want to look into another group.

I am old and cranky without reason on a good day!!!  RSG was recommended by someone I trust and I was warned that the early stages with them are not as good as the aftercare.  That is more important to me.  I chose them over two other groups, one of which flat out lied to me about services my insurance would require, while trying to get me to use those services they offered at about $250 a pop!  Having a surgery date does make me feel better and I don't think they want me b--ching at them if they change it.  I go from ticked to just plain backstreet nasty in about .3 miliseconds!  I will take it as it is, the wait for the class is not pushing back the surgery date.  The biggest issue Monday was that my husband was in little boy mode and whinned about the issue, his nap got cut short.
