lunch bunch is when preschoolers stay an extra hour, eat lunch with their friends and play outside for 1/2 an hour, its an opportunity for teachers to make some extra $$!  here's the venison chili recipe -

Venison Chili

null

2 pounds ground venison or lean ground beef
1 pound hot Italian link sausage, casings removed
1 medium onion, chopped
2 (15-ounce) cans dark red kidney beans, undrained
2 (15-ounce) cans light red kidney beans, undrained
1 (28-ounce) can whole tomatoes, undrained
1 (8-ounce) can tomato puree
1 (4.5-ounce) can chopped green chiles
1 dried red chili pepper
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon sugar

Cook first three ingredients in a stock pot over medium heat until meat is browned, stirring until it crumbles; drain and return to stockpot.

Stir in beans and remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 1 to 2 hours or until desired consistency.

Yield:  3 1/2 quarts

Beautiful recipe! However, all my family who hunt live up North so no venison to put in it. (not that I can eat it right now anyway) Waaaaaaaaaah! I would kill for some venison. Better hope no Bambi walks through my yard tonight. It'll be a dead Bambi. LOL!

Hi Court,
Congratulations on abstaining from cigarettes. Prayers coming that you can keep it up.
Monday began with physical therapy. my second to last session was great. My last session will be Friday. After 3 months of pt, it will  be great to move up to the gym and workout on my own. Part of me will miss going in to PT. I love my physical therapist, and I enjoy socializing with everyone there. With PT in the same building with the gym, I know that I can stop in anytime.
After stopping at BoDo's for lunch, I headed to work. Work was great, as I was busy.
Financially things are very tough right now. With many medical bills and increased debt, the lack of money got out of control. Please keep me in your prayers that all will work out.
   Peace to you,
   Cindy

Prayers for you, Cindy.  I know a lot of us are in the same boat.  With a new baby on the way, a father with health issues, a husband with two compressed vertebraes that require daily narcotics as well as monthly injenctions into his spine, a 14 year old that "needs" a lot and her boyfriend that we have "adopted" since his mom abandoned him and his dad just doesn't care...I know exactly how you feel!  It will all work out...just lift it up to the Lord!

Hi Tam,
Typically I try not to air my personal issues on the boars, unless they are weight/food related. Thank you for listening and for sharing. Prayers are coming for you and your family.
 Peace,
 Cindy
