233lbs LOST!!
Maintenance going strong!
Well I'm going to send an email to the Doc. I know his office care hasn't been 100% stellar.. and I knew that going into it.. it's kind of a double edge... y'know .. you want both a good surgeon and a good after care program...
I guess I'll just have to play around with my calorie count until I find one that "feels right" and doesn't drive the pounds...
I'll let you know what he says.
In the meantime, I have you guys THANK GOODNESS!!! I have lots of knowledge on what to eat "pre" surgery.. which is almost what I'm reverted back to given it feels like "im on my own" to figure out what works and what doesnt... and worse case scneario.. I count points... Weigh****chers .. a friend for ever.. HA!! :) Humor ... yes.. humor...gotta hve it.

Congratulations on your success thus far and best wishes for continued success!
I would feel a little let down as well. I'm in the same boat (sort of)... I just assume they won't be helpful and don't ask. I tend to rely on OH and my OH buddies for specific guidance. (When I have specific medical issues, I also seek professional help.)
For me, the ending excitement of the first year has brought on a wave of new emotions. I know this second year will be more of a struggle. And like you have experienced, bad habits start reappearing. Determination and self-discipline are going to be key in reaching our goals.
Hang in there,
Kris
Karen Via is a great Nutritionist at Fairoaks! I love her. My surgeon is Dr. Moazzez , I had Lap Band but I know plenty of folks who did RNY and alos love him. He has called me directly and is always willing to see me when I am in the office. I would suggest that if you do not get what you need from the current Dr/s explore your options.
And please take a moment to enjoy your sucess !!!! Great Job!
