Evening Update on Jamie

Stan reports that Jamie is in ICU right now and does not have access to a phone but will check in with me tomorrow when she gets to a private room.  She's in a good deal of pain, but it making good use of the morphine pump.  She hasn't been up walking around yet, but her surgeon has asked her to do so this evening.  Hopefully she will be feeling a bit better tomorrow.  I'll update again when I have more to share!  :)

No worries...ICU is standard for the first night at our hospital. We also have the same surgeon and I did my cruise around ICU at 11pm...although I think it was only because I kept insisting. Tomorrow am will likely be her swallow test and then up to the ward....well that's how it went for me anyway.

You might want to tell Stan to bring her cell phone, I don't know how good the phones in the ward were ( Angie did you even see a phone?) We all used our cell phones. If there is one, I think there may only be one for all four beds. Thats the only one that rang while I was there.

By now she's probably on her way to the room and will be feeling much better after getting that swallow test over.

Tell her good luck and keep walking.

Only saw one phone for all four beds.... Cell phone is the best choice!
