I was wondering what support meetings are available in the McLean area?

There are a few in the Northern VA area....

Every 3rd Monday, there is a support group at Inova FairOaks Hospital from 630-800pm.

I am not in NoVA but wanted to wish you the best of luck finding one. Also, not sure how far it is from McLean...but Jackie Thodos and Sue Baker run a fabulous group out of Fredericksburg. Jackie is out of town for work...but if you PM her I am sure she will respond ASAP or go to obesityfreedom.com and check them out!

Are you considering 95 traffic... no traffic, an hour... with traffic, who knows... 3, 4, 5 hours?? :P

The two support groups mentioned above are the only ones that are in this area... I think one is run also near Warrenton or Winchester or one of those rural W places, but that's no closer than Fredericksburg.

Bummer, really, if I was closer to Jackie's group I might get to meetings more often!

No, I wasn't considering traffic b/c I don't know how far things are from each other up there. I just know that Jackie and Sue do a call in meeting and are great online support, too. They can also recommend other groups if they know of them. I am more familiar with the groups in my area. The traffic up there is the main reason why you could not pay me to live up there! I loathe sitting in traffic!

James, there is a support mtn on the 9th of Feb at 6:30 PM at the Sully goverment center on Stonecroft Blvd in Chantilly as well...Jim
