Last Supper Syndrome

I love the Melting Pot too.  Tons of cheese and chocolate. ...YUM!

Probably a good place to avoid after surgery.  It really is all about the cheese and chocolate. There are also different fondues to choose from for cooking your own meal.  I am sure they have a something a little healthier....oh but the cheese and chocolate....yummy

When I got married, we took our parents there for their first meeting.  My family is very simple country folk and his are NY born and raised, so it was a very "INTERESTING" experience.  My family was afraid to order bc of the price and his wanted to know where the pasta and gravy were.  It was a very funny time.  In the end, my husband and I ended up tuning them out and having a great time in the midst of the chaos.  It is so funny to think back to that day......thanks for jogging the memory and reminding why I love my husband so much.

Ok, everyone says not to do it, that you'll eventually be able to eat again, it's not worth it....you know the drill. And all that's true, but... even so. While my dr. didn't encourage it, he didn't strictly forbid it either I went to Maggiano's. Family style. They just kept bringing it out! It was sooooo incredibly delicious and I should say that I regret it but I don't

For me it was Red Lobster. Here's the thing I STILL eat what I ate then. Crab legs, inards of a baked tater and veggies. So, for me it was a dramatic set of cir****tances. Honestly, I feel like there are quite a bit more choices post-op that I enjoy that I never ate pre-op. I don't miss a lot of things. I've learned to adapt and deal with what my body needs and can handle. Of course I have pushed the envelope & eaten things that are not the best choice(s) but I also have learned lessons and don't make those mistakes again. To answer was it worth it heck yeah I love me some crab legs & would I do it again? I DO eat it over and over! (We share the same surgery date btw - I'll be 6 years post-op the 29th)

TM,
First you choose your cheese. It comes with bread and apples to dip in it. So wonderful!
Then you choose your meats and fish and your broth to boil it in. They put veggies in the broth so you can have them too.
You also get a huge salad of your choosing. I love the Caesar there but beware of the candied pine nuts. So yummy.
Finally you choose your chocolate and they bring out this huge plate of different desserts you can dip in it. It's friggin' amazing. O M G.
I'd have to look at the menu to tell you my exact choices but I just can't do it right now or I will cheat on my liquid diet. LOL.

You like my cheeks? Seriously? I hate them. Red chipmunk cheeks. Ackkkkkkk! But thank you! :)
