I'm Lisa and I'm getting closer to setting a surgery date. I'm new here and confused by all of the options lol. Is there anything here where ppl can be sort of like a sponser?

Welcome Lisa to the Virginia site. You can request an angel. I am not sure how to do that on here.

I am a VSG so I cannot assist you with banding issues. I am sure others will assist you with your questions.

I learned a great deal with my nutritionist as well as attending group meetings. Does Dr Pinnar have group meetings?

Welcome Lisa! What area of VA are you in? That might help in someone volunteering to be an angel for you. I am always available as a "phone angel" if you are not in Richmond area. :)

Have you finished all your pre-op work up stuff? When should you hear about your date?

I am an RNYer so I will not be much help with a band...but there are lots of folks on here that are banders. We are all in this together and I will help in any way that I can. Best of luck to you! Ask questions both on here and to your surgeon...we all have valuable information but it all boils down to your surgeons guidelines!
