WELCOME TO MONDAY YA'LL!
How are ya'll doing? Wonderful I hope. How was weekend? Ours has been jam packed for sure! Friday pm I had a great time with fam & friends seeing my favorite rockstar & his band rawk it out! It was hysterical at points, lots of icky food, NO tea (shutter the thought here in the South) & LOTS of the sleepy sillies mixed with some of the best music! :) In our group there were 13 of us and we really enjoyed ourselves. I really love that everyone came & enjoyed themselves. I saw several folks I went to high school with a couple "different" people along the way. LOL.
Into Sat am I got home after 2 am & the buggas were still up & raring to go. WOW! We set up their virtual pets they got & were in the bed between 3 & 4 but because these things need to eat, drink and play how bout they flippin' BEEP every so often. I got to bed around 4ish then got a call around 7:30. Was up from that point on. One of my great friends delievered her baby Sat am & I'm totally stoked & happy for her. He's so dang handsome and mommy & baby are doing well. :)
The am was nice to relax & chat for a bit then off to get cakes, ice cream, fresh cuppas and a few other edibles/things. Got home and starting setting up for the birthday parties. 2 cakes, almost 20 people, shredded purple fetti, snacks, pizza, biscuits, LOTS of talking, laughing, stress & keeping the boxers in their corners! LOL It went well & everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
The most important thing was to be together as family & that Kayla was happy. We celebrated her great uncle's birthday (which was Fri), her Gma's (which was yesterday) and Kayla's which is tomorrow. :) There were some unexpected situations but we managed. Got everyone to their vehicles & said until later then on with the clean up & processing. The night ended on decent notes for the most part. Thank the Lord for the help that I had. It means the world.
Sunday was pretty spiffy. Chores, laundry, tons of pics & things to go through and catching up on some rest. Nora decided to do something "important." She comes running into the kitchen asking how to call 911. I said baby you pick up a phone and dial 9-1-1 but only in emergencies. She said "THANKS MOM!" Then in true Nora style she really did it! She called 911 and said a few things then HUNG UP! I thought nothing of it until my phone started ringing. I pick it up and the dispatcher says "mam this is 911 emergency do you need assitance?" Yeah I'm going to assist my daughter in a lesson about calling 911. LOL So, I explained what happened and Nora actually told her that "I am only posed to call you in mergency." LOL Awwww to be 3! Later in the pm things calmed down & the power went out just as we were getting cozy and falling asleep. Fun times! Its obviously back on this am!
WHAT A WEEKEND! What's on the books for your Monday? I'm working on To Do List items, chores & relaxing on the heating pad. Kayla is out of school for today. So, we are going to watch some movies she got for her birthday & chill. I hope everyone has a GREAT Monday! All best!
Blessed Momma to ♥ Kayla & Nora ♥

Well...I think what was going to be a busy day is going to be a slow day instead. No one wants to go out into the weather - haha.
Yesterday I got a lot of my cooking done for the week, so that's out of the way (yeah!) which leaves my workout and a few other things left for today. Yes...I'm on this eating clean kick (hey...it's working). I started making my own bread, organic yogurt and other things to keep for those hectic days when I need a quick lunches and dinners. It's a *****eaper and a LOT healthier. Last week I made a big batch of meatballs and put them in the freezer, grilled chicken breasts for quick sandwiches and salad. Last week, I did a big batch of oatmeal and kept it in the fridge for everyone to grab for a quick breakfast. They added in their own "goodies". Much cheaper than the instant stuff, and better for you, too.
I've got some books to go through and a dvd to watch - those will be the highlights of my day.....
Enjoy yours....

Life could not get any better than this!
Friday had a bit of drama with Adam's mom but all worked out well in the long run. I worked till 5 then it was off to pick up Kara's new puppy. It was a combo birthday and Christmas gift from Adam...but she was just born inn early December so we had to wait. She is home now and cute as a button. Her name is Squirt...I will get pics on myspce & facebook as soon as I can. After that it was off to see my fav band play with some dear friends and family. Steve and I got home long enough to grab work things then out the door we went! We got home a little after 6 and crashed for about an hour till my phone started going off. I was freezing and got up to find we had no heat OR water! The lines had frozen. For me it was off to a friends house to grab a shower (what a lifesaver!) and Steve was off to Home Depot to get the supplies to fix the lines. Thanlfully he was able to get everything in working order and we are doing great. After that it was a friends party and then some chat time, which was greatly needed. We had a blast! I got home a little after 7 (I think!) and Steve, Kara, Adam, and I watched some TV before taking a nap for work. We got home a little after 6 again and all crashed hard! I knew I was getting sick...just not THIS sick!
I slept till 10 then got up so Kara, Adam and I could go and get returns and hit up Wal-Mart for some groceries and puppy supplies, too. We got home about 4, put everything away and played Monopoly and laughed. It was a semi-early night to bed for us all.
I got up early today but had no energy to go and do billing first thing...so I vegged and did some laundry then left about 9 to get it all done in one trip. I got home about 11:30 and cooked lunch for everyone. Just as I thought...Steve got jealous that I had a holiday so he is home, too. I am going to take some meds and a nap and pray I feel better, soon!
I have some pics I need you to load for me this week if you can!
Love you much!

Life could not get any better than this!
My weekend was really busy as I was getting stuff ready for my next trips. As I write this I am at the airport heading to Tampa for the week - it is not hot there this week but I will settle for it being much warmer than here. The week after I go to Boston - now that will be cold - and the week after that I go back to Tampa - so busy busy busy.....
So apart from working myself to death life goes on lol!!
Hope you all have a good week!
Jackie
The morning began with heading to work. With today being a holiday, the folks were home. Our plan was to have lunch at I-HOP. When I tried to start the agency van, the battery was dead. Plans changed...we ordered pizza instead.
Working a holiday means time and half pay for me..yea!!!
After work, I just headed home. Now watching the news and putering. Lately I just want to hiberate...must be the time of year. My original plan was to work out, but my left knee is hurting...very unusual. I'll work out tomorrow.
Prayers going out to our new president!!!!
Peace,
Cindy
