Daily Inspiration - Be a calendar entry

Be a calendar entry.

So many WLSers are great at helping others. You schedule time to drive your friend to the doctors, volunteer at the church dinner, or stop by your mother's to feed her cat (while she goes on a cruise). Are you as reliable and giving in meeting your own needs?

Sometimes the best way to need your own needs is to practice doing so -- and track your progress. To help you remember you are making this important change, you may want to formally schedule time in your day for yourself. Just as you would block out time to help someone else, make a calendar entry for your needs, including things like "exercise" and "cooking a healthy meal" and "getting lab work done" and "fun time."

Action for the day: Get out your calendar and block out the time you will need to ensure you take good care of you in the coming week.
