6 months out!
Hi everyone!
I know I don't post very much, but I wanted to check in and say hi. I've been trying to keep up with what's going on with everyone and I keep you in my prayers.
As of the beginning of this month, it has been 6 months since my RNY!! In some ways, it's hard to believe it's gone so fast and in others I can't believe it hasn't been 6 years.
I'm down just over 120 pounds (since March, when I started pre-op "boot camp". I've lost about 95 since the surgery) When I started, I was fighting to fit into my size 24s and tonight I bought some size 14s at Wal Mart. I have about 35 pounds to go, and I'm eager, but I'm trying to be patient...
I had my 6-month follow up with Dr. Elliot and all of my blood work came back great. I've been really fortunate not to have any complications.
Every day I'm amazed by things I can do or how I feel that are different from before. Every day. I won't take the time to reha**** all here, but there's a link to my blog in my signature (click on "Adventures in Sarah's World) where I record pretty much every thought I've ever had if you are wondering. In one of my more recent posts, I put some along-the-way pictures of myself. I'm finally starting to feel like yes, I really do look different!
One thing that I still can't believe I'm going to do, but I'm pretty sure I am anyway, is run the Monument Ave 10k here in Richmond at the end of March. Is anyone else running in that? I'm still a little bit in shock that I'm saying that.... (and I have to put "running" in quotes. What I do is barely described as jogging; but I feel really special calling it running)
I'm planning on hitting up Jackie's on the 7th (Jackie - PM coming your way about that my dear) and I hope to see lots of you there!

You, my dear, are fabulous. You have done awesome with your tool and are an inspiration. I am so proud of you. I wish you well in the 10k. I'd love to have that energy.
I hope you continue to do as well as you have been. You have to keep being the inspiration you are. Oh by the way, we miss ya to pieces! love ya! hugs!

Sarah,
You look great and congrats on your success thus far. I went from a 32-34 to a 8-10 (although I am NOT there anymore...I have faith that I WILL get back into my pre-pregnancy clothes!). I had plans to run in the Monument Ave 10K but alas that is not meant to be this year. Nest year I hope to strap Claire into the jogging stroller Steve bought me and maybe even get Kara and Steve to come along and have some fun! I may be volunteering at the event handing ou****er. I suppose I could walk it if anyone else was interested...just no jogging or running for me! I wish you the best of luck in that and your continued success on your adventure!

Sarah.....You know you are my inspiration and that this journey that I'm on would be so much more difficult without your support and our everyday "chat" sessions. Thanks so much and I am so proud of you!!! Feb. 11th is closing in and I can't wait. It's so comforting to know that I'll have my FRIEND to talk to afterwards. Angie
