First I wanted to thank you all for your advice and most of all your understanding! We discussed things last night and my MIL will be invited however we have written her a nice long letter explaining that this is her final chance to show that she accepts our family as is, blended and all, and if she choses not to then we will cut ties with her permantly. We are leaving the decision totally up to her and what she choses to do with it is hers. She is also being informed that Kara will ALWAYS be treated 100% equally or once again all ties will be cut. It was stated in no uncertain terms that this is her FINAL chance to man up to being in our lives...we can and will take it or leave it but the choice is hers. I have not mailed the letter yet...It will be mailed tomorrow morning. I wanted to think it over and make sure we included what we wanted 100% so if ya'll have any suggesstions...bring em on!

Tam, I know that this is a hard decision to make and I think that you have made the decision that is right for you and that is what is important. If she choosed to not accept things as they are then that is her problem not yours anymore. The important things is how Kara and Steve and you feel more so than her. Just think of it that way you guys are a family now just take the ball and run with it.

Yep, it was a hard decision but we had to take Kara's feelings into consideration. She is who is most important here today. The rest can and will be dealt with as time approches. You know I am a strong willed woman and a strong woman in general and I will not be pushed around. Kara is my responsibility and I will always stick up for her! Thanks for the support!
