Ask.

When you need or want something, do you speak up? You may need a ride somewhere, because your car is in the shop; or you may need an ingredient for a recipe. You may want someone to stop bringing a certain trigger food into your house, or into the office. You may want a friend to help you shop for clothes. But you don't ask for these things -- because you worry that you will be rejected, or that the person will think you're being selfish, or that you will seem demanding, or ... you fill in the blank!

There is nothing wrong with asking. When you ask someone for something, you are creating an opportunity for the person you are asking. It is up to them whether they say yes or no. And you job is to accept the response, either way. But if you never ask -- you will not get what you need or want from others.

Action for the day: Practice asking for something from another person today. You are worth it!

There comes times when you ask and the answer is "no" or "soon" and it doesn't happen then you stop asking that person and lean on those who truly are there. :) Just saying.
