I'm new here
I am new to the VA Boards and wanted to introduce myself. I live in Va Beach and had RNY on 8/20/08. I am down 81 pounds so far!!!! I was wearing a size 24 and now in a size 14!!! I can't believe how much my life has changed in a few short months. I have a daughter who is 1 1/2 years old and I am able to get down on the floor and play with her and keep up with her engery now! She was my motivation for having the surgery... I wanted to be healthy for her and for her to learn a healthy lifestyle!

Welcome! Congrats on your progess! Hope you find the support and caring that you want and need from these boards. Personally, I pop in every so often, but don't post a lot...other post daily or more!

I know running around with your daughter is a great motivator. You will be so much happier lighter and your daughter will benefit for life....... I did it for the same reasons..... I have never regretted my decision.......
