I NEED HELP PLEASE
Without knowing more about your surgery and what you eat or have been eating, I doubt anyone can have enough knowledge to help you.
Please wrote down a typical day's eating and let me take a look at it - be honest about what you are eating and portion sizes etc......... and we can give you some advice on eating - but the surgery side you need to talk with a doctor...
Sorry I can't be of more help......
Jackie
Hello Jackie and thanks for helping me out I real do need it. lol. ok let me answer your q's I did go see a gastric doctor on navy base they made me drink some thing and took pics of it going down to see if I had a link or if it open back up to a bigger size. But they told me everything look fine. and the surgury I had done they don't cut the stomach in half they only put 4 rolls of staples in it to make a small pouch and then they fire the staples and then they take them out. Your surgury the proumble cut your stomach in half and then staples it back togather so you have your stomach cut in half. they never real cut my stomach in half they only what you might call staple off a small amounts of it. now about what I can eat I can eat everything and the portion sizes is almost like it was before I had the surgury. But there are somedays I can only eat a little but some days I can eat alot. for ex. when I had the surgury done about 7 months after it I could only eat maybe 2 bite of a hamburger from Mickey Dee and the hamburger was a happy meal. now I can eat the whole hamburger plus the fry's. Can you please give me what typical day of eating is like what you eat. I belive it is my eating habbits but am soooo dam depress over it I want to stop and go on the right track it's just am so depress I see my friends who had it done from a diffent dr. 2 months before I had mine and she already loss 140lns and here I sit with only 67 lbs. can you please let me know what you eat. and if yall can please help me out. thanks and god bless maria

First of all, every surgeon/surgery/patient is different in their type of surgery and the outcome. We all lose weight at different rates. Some of us tons while others not so much. It can be a frustration but if we follow the guidelines and make the best choices we will be successful.
Unfortunately, I don't know enough about your surgery to undersand what has happened and why you are or are not losing weight/more weight. Its seems to me you hadn't changed your habits (eating surgar candy and nothing making you sick). If you are still acting in the same behaviors post-op as you were pre-op then that could be some of the reasons you aren't losing as you'd like to.
In addition, you should contact your surgeon's office for a intense follow up and allow them to explain to you speficially what has been done in your case, where you are currently, what they can do to help you get back on track and definitely have labs drawn as they are indicators of much. My surgeon is no longer with our practice (although we keep in touch) but that doesn't mean I'm going to forgo follow ups and getting the help that I need.
Wishing you all best!

The way to lose weight is by making changes in your diet. The majority of your meals should be lean protein and produce. Some low fat dairy and only a few good carbs like whole grains and beans. The junk food has got to go if you want to lose!
This way of eating is how I have lost 91 pounds so far, 60+ before banding and 20+ afterward. It can work for you.
When you want to eat junk stop and ask yourself, "Am I trading what I really want (to be slim) for what I want right now?" (Wouldn't it feel better to hop on the scale and see a new low number?)
Good luck.
