Emergency for Lisa
Ok, the latest news from Lisa, as of around 9 am this morning.
Edward was ejected through the front windshield. He has multiple fractures, mostly facial, ribs, & I think she said at least one arm. There are indications of some organ bruising & there will be further tests to make sure he's not bleeding internally. She spoke to him briefly, but he's pretty drugged up. In spite of all this bad news, at least there is some good news. The kids weren't with him, he's alive, he's not on a ventilator, & this is one of those rare occassions when it was good that he wasn't wearing his seatbelt, considering the vehicle went up in flames immediately.
So that's all I know at the moment. Of course things can change at a moments notice, so as info becomes available, I will keep you all posted. She had hoped to be discharged today, but that's not gonna happen. MAYBE Monday, but who know.
If anyone would like to call her, her number is 703-391-4489. If any of you are close to Fair Oaks Hospital, I'm pretty sure she could use some visitors to cheer her up, hold her hand, whatever.
So now I'm gonna go take a nap. I sure will be glad when I can give out some good news for a change...I feel like the doomsday lady!
