Good Morning and Happy Monday to Ya!

Wow....looks like it's going to get chilly on us this afternoon and rainy for some of us.  Don't let that deter you from being physically active.  there are still plenty of things you can do indoors when the weather is yucky.  You can dance in your living room, do a workout dvd, turn the tv on to one of those workout shows (Denise Austin comes to mind) or use the On Demand channel if you have cable tv.  They carry many free workouts by Kathy Smith, Denise Austin, Turbo Jam, Tae Bo and Leslie Sansome (in fact, they are a great way to try a person out before buying the dvd).

So....just because it's dark, cold and rainy does not mean that you pull the blankets over your head and call it a rest day!

So....what are YOU going to do to move today???

Me?  Well...the calendar says cardio and weights.  I was thinking of taking a spin class today, but I have a lot to do today and tomorrow, so I think I'll hit the treadmill today to save some time and do some of the things I need to do tomorrow to ensure that I have time for a workout tomorrow (aaahhh....planning....).  So, there it is....cardio (walk/run) and weights at the gym and then home.

Morning Jill!
So I have a question (more than an answer to your post!). Saturday I ran/walked 4 miles for my training....my calf (only one!) has been a bit sore since. At first I thought it was just my body/muscle adjusting so I stretched and tried to rest it a bit. BUT, then I went dancing last night (the ballroom type)...my calf kept acting like it was going to start cramping, but never did. I stretched some more. This morning it still is a bit sore....what do I do?!  Keep stretching and using or do I lay off of it (sit still!?) for a bit?

Ahh..the joys and pains of training....

Hey Jill,

I'm going to take it easy today actually. I pushed & pushed myself all weekend. I'll most likely walk this pm even if its just for a stroll.

Happy New Year Jill,

I promised myself to get moving early. Today I got up at 5:30 and got on the threadmill for 30 mins.  Got my daughter off to school a shower by 6:45 and my son got up at 7:15am. I feel very accomplished and I am going to try to do this at least 3 if not all 5 days a week.

Good morning Jill, I think today I am going to go for my 2 mile walk since it looks nice out this morning, and later this afternoon go for another 2 mile walk that's if it's not raining.

Good morning - I am so glad to see these posts again as I need to get moving again - my New Year's resolution.... so today after I pick Connor up from school I am taking us both to the gym for an hour.

We now have a Wii and Wii Fit and after a few games of tennis and bowling last night, I have aches where I never knew I had muscles! SO there goes my level of unfitness - so back to the gym today!!!

Hope everyone gets motivated to be fit too

Today began with a physical therapy session. During the session I worked on some of the weight machines. Too increase strength in the right leg(surgical knee), I used the total gym with one leg. Also worked on stepping up and down and using the stairs. Soon I will head to the store which will include much walking.
