Good am,

How are ya'll doing? Good I hope. How was your weekend? Ours was really jam packed. Just the way I like things when I've got lots going on in the brain. Got all the Cmas stuff put up/away, cleaned up big time, got lots of chores done, several errands and was jam packed until late into Sat pm. Did some cleaning on Sun then did a few puzzles, went outside with the buggas to ride their scooters and then back in for more cleaning. I feel really accomplished and things in my head are a little calmer this am. Dealt with some disappointment with regards to a few people so hopefully I can move on from those things and embrace the newness of the year that is still around.

What's on the books for your Monday? For us, its back to school for Kayla. I'm happy but a tad concerned with her still feeling weaker than her normal self. Otherwise, I'm working on permenant To Do List, need to make a few phone calls, will be working on birthday plans for Kayla and getting as much of  my daily to do's done as I can. Feeling sluggish this am. Ended up taking meds to help with my sleep/neck/back last pm and they've done their job just need to wake up. So, I'm off to wake Kayla up and get a cuppa.

Been some folks missing here recently or very scarce in posting. It would be nice to see folks faces here. We all need support and encouragement! Have a great Monday ya'll!

Morning Beautiful!  Glad to hear your weekend went well.  Will be praying for you & yours as you start your week.  My weekend was low key.  Not feeling great, thinking I have another sinus infection so I just took it easy all weekend.  Today is back to work for me after a very nice break.  I am dreading it a bit but oh well.  Hope you have a great one!  Love you lots.

Good Morning, Sunshine......

WOWZA...sounds like a busy weekend.  i had one too, and got a LOT done.  I completely cleaned out my craft room.  I boxed up quite a bit for Goodwill and got things organized.  I actually saw the table for the 1st time in many...many months - haha.

Got some meal planning done (yeah!), helped hubby with some remodeling work and even had time to relax just a bit.  Yep....just a *****aha).

Poor Kayla....hope she feels better today and does ok at school.  Stinks to have to go when she doesn't feel well.

As for the disappointment.....you know you cannot change how people behave and it's up to you to just go with the flow.  I know...seems unfair that we are the ones who always have to take that route, but for our own sanity it's for the best.  Now you know where the line is with them, and just know....people do in fact reap what the sow.  Karma, baby.......

Have a GREAT day.  I've got a busy one ahead of me as I've been off from work for the past 5 days (ugh!) and everyone wants everything.....

Yep, jam packed but things are looking better around here. I even moved the buggas room around to give them more space and they are stoked about it.

Kayla is just a bit worried about things is all. She's been sluggish since surgery and yesterday while riding her scooter she got tired quicker than normal. So, I've messaged her teacher to allow her to do her regular activities but she might need to take some breaks. She's a trooper.

My weekend was relaxing. Hubby finally had a weekend off so we invited some friends over for dinner Saturday night. I cooked for 9 of us and then us adults played Monopoly. WE are addicted to the game. We play at least once a week.  Sunday we just relaxed, argued some and then I went off to chill in my bedroom alone.

Today, I have an appt with my surgeon and then gonna go to the movies and see YES MAN. I have to wash hubby's clothes for work and get some other cleaning done around here.

Glad your weekend was relaxing. Haven't played Monopoly in a long time. Hope the appointment with your surgeon goes well. Hope Yes Man is funny.

OK...so here it is, 2 PM and I am JUST getting to this post!  It is the first of the year with out a doubt!  We are slammed busy, but thankfully I am managing.  I will update about my weekend in another thread...as soon as I get time...

As for today...just the typical Monday billing...busy as a beaver!  I hope to be home by 7 if I am lucky!

How did Kayla do at school?  Prayers that she was able to get by and is feeling better soon!

I understand. I got a call just around noon to go to K's school. She freaked out a little bit about a couple things and so we had a talk and she calmed down and went back to class. She finished out the day and is home now. Love ya.

Hi everyone,
   Hope that Kayla's day at school went well. The only person we can control are ourselves.
  Like her, I will  be returning to work tomorrow...working an 8 hour shift. Last week, I worked 4 hour days. Like working parttime, vs starting full time, after 11 weeks off. The knee continues to be stiff at times. The darn weather keeps changing.
   This morning began with physical therapy. With one month left of therapy, I have to get the most out of the sessions. Physical therapy will take place 2 days a week, and I'll work out independently 1 or 2 times a week. Life will include working, going to the gym  and ushering at UVA events. 
   Soon, I will head to the store for a pair  of ice grippers to attach to my shoes. With the threat of ice in the forecast, I need to be prepared.
   Tuesday will include working a 9-5 shift and then going home to crash. I will so miss my afternoon nap time.
