Hi All,

I have my nutrition eval tomorrow and I would like for you guys to give me some suggestions of things to ask.  The stuff you wish you had asked, I'm sure I will get some guidelines, but I don't want to miss out on what I need to know to be successfull.

The nutritionist I saw at Martha Jefferson gave lots of handouts and was very helpful.  Also a phone number to call if you have questions afterwards.  you will do fine!

All best with your appointment this am. Ask for anything he/she is willing to give you. Handouts, a booklet; anything. Our surgeon's office gives out a patient handbook with best practices, tips and lots of information including foods when can/cannot have, meds when can/cannot have, exercises, foods, charts and more. Be sure to get a phone number to reach him/her when you need to and  keep us posted if you should have more questions.

How did it go?  We did not have a nutrition eval...just a class.  I am curious about this.

I LOVED IT!!!!

Okay , I sound like I don't hav enough in my life but the hour I spent with Jenna was great!  She wanted to know what and how I eat now, how I think things will change, the why of WLS for me.  She listened, understand and was not judgemental  I learned a lot in that short time about reading lables, dealing with having to live with another person while trying to get this done.  I will of course have 2 nutrition classes, but I look forward to it.  I will get more handouts geared to meals, prep, modifications and such.  I fell good about the time and even better about what I want to get done.  Most importantly I was glad for the time I have spent here reading posts and the understanding I have gained through the experencies of others.

THANKS ALL OF YOU!!
