Good Morning Fitness Fanatics........

Another day, another opportunity to be healthy and to move your body.  Fortunately, anyone who is able to take a breath is able to move.  Yes...I said that, and I will repeat it....if you can take a breath....you can move your body.

Being physically active does not mean running 1/2 marathons, hiking mountains, or even walking through the mall.  Being physically active means challenging your body every day to improve.

If you cannot walk, that's ok.  Think outside of the box.  Can you lift soup cans over your head multiple times?  Can you lift your feet off of the floor one at a time, multiple times?

I know that many of you have physical challenges that make moving difficult.  Have you considered swimming?  That's a GREAT way to be physically active without adding discomfort to your body.

If you can walk, challenge yourself to walk for 20 minutes every day.  That may mean that you walk down the street and back.  That's ok.  Do that one day, and then the next day, challenge yourself to walk a few steps farther, or for 1 more minute.  Do this every day and you WILL improve.

So....what are YOU going to do to move today???

Me?  Today is suppose to be a rest day, but since I had technical difficulties with my yoga dvd yesterday, I am going to pop it in this morning.  Fortunately, I did 30 minutes of hill climbing on the treadmill yesterday, so I got that done (yeah!!!).

So....enjoy your day and get out there and MOVE!!!!
