What Are YOU Doing To Move Today???

Good Morning Fitness Fanatics!

What a GREAT day to be alive.  There's a chill in the air, but don't let that keep you in bed.  It's a great morning to head out for a 20 minute walk, to pop in a dance dvd (have you seen the new Dancing with the Stars workout dvd????) or to mellow your mind with some yoga.

Make 2009 the year that you find something that you like to do, because physical activity is just as important as everything else in the weightloss equation. 

So....what are YOU doing to move today???

Me?  Well....despite the fact that I still have this cold, I'm geting ready to head to the gym for a 30 minute walk/run on the treadmill and then 1 hour of beatings by the Personal Trainer (haha).

I walked this morning with my dad around the block three times.  Not my usual distance...but GREAT for him!  I will walk more at lunch or after work if I feel like it.  This cold/sinus thingy that I have going on is making it hard for me...but I will try!

GREAT!  Sounds like he's doing better - I'm happy to hear that.  But, I hear ya on the cold/sinus thing.....UGH!

Does flicking people in the forehead count as exercise? How about screaming? Does that count? How about the 5 block walk in the frigid temps to be left with more questions than answers and back down 5 blocks for blood work which wasn't supposed to happen then up three flights of stairs for x-rays then back down 3 flights and down 5 more blocks to get our car in the sleet. Yep, it counts. Thank GOD for my legs. Thank GOD for my arms. Thank GOD I really DIDNT flick people in the forehead. Sigh. Sorry.

Well.....sounds like your heart rate has been increased, so why not add some strength training (flicking).........

I did 30 minutes on the treadmill first thing this morning. It is always a good feeling to have that out of the way for the day and it helps me wake up.

I picked up a packet of stuff to fill out so I can use the little fitness center here in the villiage.  I hope to get it turned in by Monday and then add something else to my day, hopefully in the late afternoon (which is a time I want to snack).

Wish I had a personal trainer!!

GREAT job!

I have a trainer for now only because of my membership at the gym.  I got 4 free sessions.  Not sure if I can afford to keep this one.  If not, I will be looking for one that I can afford.  They are great motivators and a good trainer has a wealth of knowledge.

I doubt very much that I can find a trainer in Scottsville!  I am not sure I have the motivation to drive the 45 minutes to Charlottesville to find a real gym.  If I can get my daughter (who is an RN) to help me work out a 30 minute workout besides my treadmill I think that will be adequate for now.

I am down to my lowest weight again so far, so things are going much better, come on 27 pound weight loss!!!
