Welcome to 2009!
I am doing fan-diddly-tastic this AM. I still feel like crud and this head cold/sinus thingy is kicking my rear but I am pushing thru and not letting it get me down. I worked yesterday then came home at usual time. Went to dinner with Steve, Kara, Adam and three of the best friends/family that anyone could ask for. The food was horrible and the service sucked badly...but we had a good time anyway. After that it was home for us and we went to my moms and visited with more family and watched movies. Steve and I came home about 10 and Kara and Adam followed about a half an hour later. We hung out a bit and watched the ball drop and had a sparkling cider toast just after midnight. I decided to go to work with Steve...just so we could spend some time together. Boy...was it freezing out early this AM!
On the books for today is too much! LOL. I am finishing my cuppa and getting ready to grab a shower (I am late this AM!) and then Steve and I are going back to work for a bit. Price changes are in effect on Sunday so we have to prepare for it and this is the most convient day to taclke it. After that it will be shopping...we still have a ton of gift cards left and then home to do some house work and laundry. I am also babysitting my neice this evening for a bit so my sister and brother-in-law can have some adult time. Nothing major...but I get to spend the day with family and friends so that makes me happiest.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Our new years eve was spiffy for the most part. Dinner, light shopping for the buggas mainly, home to play Trouble, watch their new Veggie Tales DVD, into jammies and out like lights they went. I was up till 1ish am. Watched the ball drop and then texted back and forth with folks and then conked out. Woke up a couple times but managed to get some rest.
On the books today... been up, showered, gotten groceries already & had a very nice convo during my shopping (since we all know how much Kat LOVES shopping; NOT), back home & unloaded them, catching up on some relaxation then some chores as we've got company coming by this pm. After that, I dunno exactly. As long as its not doing too much. Needed to get by a few places to grab a couple things but we'll see.

Life could not get any better than this!
I'm relaxing at home today, I don't plan to do anything, and it feels wonderful! This is probably be my last day at home completely alone enjoying silent "me time". Tomorrow i have a doctors appt and some errands to run, saturday and Sunday will be spent with Nate taking down our holiday decorations and whatever else pops up. At least I think he will be home both days. I'm not sure he has his schedule for Sunday yet.
We had a nice trip yesterday to an antique mall. I got some of those little painted collapsable women (do you know what I'm talking about? One hides the next, which hides the next?) They are SO pretty. And we also scored a great handmade lighthouse which I am displaying in the living room. It was a steal. So much that the woman surprisingly double checked the tag! WHOOP WHOOP! They had an AWESOME wood carved anchor, but it was far too expensive a purchase for something we didn't need and for a room we don't actually have (it would be great in a ship or beach themed room). But I so wish we had the extra money to buy it. BOO, oh well.
We had a plumber out the other day and I was thankful to get our main bathroom toilet fixed up and tune up the second bath too. We also got a quote from a landscaper to do the leaves and spread some dirt in the yard. He'll be coming Monday. I will be SO glad to get the load of dirt out of my driveway, and probably my neighbors will be glad to not keep looking at it too. :)
