Good am,

How are ya'll doing? Good I hope. How was your Christmas? Ours was full speed ahead until 9 pm. The buggas woke up just about every hour asking "has Santa been here yet?" They ended up in bed with me then we managed a few hours of sleep before Cmas morn. They were early to rise and enjoyed opening their gifts. We played some games and enjoyed some brief relaxation. Cooking went on from the early am until around 2ish when their dad & his parents got here and from then in things were chaotic. The buggas are proud owners of new scooters (among other wonderful things) which they rode in the street for quite some time. They got a lot of wonderful things and we are truly blessed by God with fam & friends we have. :) After a pretty nice visit from the grandparents/their dad we had about 5 minutes to breathe before my sister, her fiance & their 4 boys arrived. It was dinner, puzzle piecing, nerf shots flying, lots of laughing and goofing and as quick as they came, they left. I took about 45 minutes to clean up a bit, got the buggas in jammies and into bed and I opted for bed early myself. My gifts were that of time, love, seeing others smile, talking to a few friends, reaching 16 months sobriety ON Cmas day and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. :)

What's on the books for your Friday & weekend? At this point, I'm going to have a cup of coffee and see where that leads. We're probably going to have some company here shortly and then we'll see what the day brings. I'm still a bit tired but managing. The buggas booted me out of the King early this am. I'll be working on new homes for new things around the house and hopefully getting my energy back up from feeling so crummy earlier in the week. As for the weekend I'm not 100% sure of our plans but I hope they entail seeing a few folks as well as enjoying down time before Monday. I'd like to ask for prayers for us. I will not be posting Monday so Tammy or someone else if you would please. We've got a big day on Monday and I'd just like to ask that we be kept in ya'lls prayers. I sincerely hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Friday & weekend!

Good morning, beautiful!  I am so glad your Christmas was nice.  Ours was better than nice since as you know daddy got to come home.  Steve and I had little to no sleep on Christmas Eve.  We were both up late putting thing together and doing last minute wrapping.  I got him back up after about an hour of sleep and he went to work and I resumed cooking/baking.  I had Christmas Carols playing and really enjoyed the time just being "me".  He got home very early and crashed for about 4 hours before I got him up to shower and get ready for breakfast.  I got Kara up and she was raring to go and get Adam instead of the usual "can I open one present before breakfast?" so out the door we ran.  His mom was at her house with his older brother. his sister was at a friends house and his dad went to his sisters and Adam was home all alone.  We grabbed him really early and came home.  They hung out while Steve finished getting ready.  I went to my moms right next door and helped her cook breakfast and get ready for family and a few friends.  My sisters foster son left yesterday for a one month trip to Bangledesh so he had a lot of folks coming over to say have a nice trip and such.  After that we visited for a while and just gave daddy time to relax a bit.  He felt so much better being home!  We soon came home and our living room looked like a tornado hit it.  Daddy felt like sitting up and opening gifts with us so it was me, Steve, daddy, Kara and Adam.  I am so glad that I got him several things since his parents only got him one thing.  I want him to know he is part of our family, too.  We all cleaned up a little...got the wrapping paper in bags and into the trash can and then it was off to the kitchen for me and off to the sleep fairy world for my dad.  Kara and Adam went to set up her new lap top and Steve was hooking up other things.  We all had dinner after my dad woke up.  It was fabulous to see/hear him ask for my cooking.  It was the first real thing he had eaten since last Tuesday...the day before his surgery!  We all ate and then I took my dad to my moms house and the rest of us piled into the car to fo to the Richmond Renegades game at the Coliseum last night.  They won 5-2 and we all had a blast.  The tickets were a gift from my boss at work and I am thankful for them.  We got home VERY late so Steve just crashed and I started cleaning until time to get him up to go to work.  Then I crashed!  He is still snoozing as are Kara and Adam and I am showered and ready to start this day.  We have a busy one.   I am getting them all up now for showers and breakfast and we are headed out in just a bit for daddy's shot and blood work to be done.  After that it is off to Short Pump Towne Center so Kara can use her gift card that she got yesterday.  I also have a few items to return as well.  After that, we have a few friends to visit and then it is back home for some relaxing family time.  It seems like I rarely get that so I am really looking forward to it.  Prayers will certaintly be with you and yours on Monday...I know it is a HUGE day and I would be honored to post for you.  I will call or text you soon.  I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL and BLESSED Friday and weekend as well!  Love you much!

Good morning gorgeous ladies! I just rolled my lazy bum out of bed. Yesterday was very draining. I am looking forward to today. All our company is gone and we have plenty of leftover food so I will not need to cook today! Yippy!

Our plans for today are RELAXING! Alex will play with his new toys. When he wakes up I will take him outside to practice with his new bb gun. He also got a couple games from Santa that we wants to play today. This is the 1st year my husband has been off the day after Christmas, so we will treasure this. (as soon as his lazy butt wakes up) We all seem to be exhausted from yesterday. We had family come at noon and did not leave till 7. Lots of entertaining and cooking! But we had a blast.

Morning All!  Sounds like everyone had a very wonderful day full of bessings!!!  Our day was busy but wonderful.  As I mentioned yesterday we decided to go & visit with everyone and save Christmas at home til last.   I have to say although it was odd it gave us a chance to spend great quality time with everyone and it was wonderful.  We finally got home about 8 last night & did our Christmas.  What fun it was.  The girlies loved their gifts, hubby & I both got lots of great things.  Afterwards we all relaxed & played with our new things.  Hubby had to work today but the girlies & I slept in and are being lazy this a.m.  Not too much planned, pretty much just hanging out for the weekend.  Hope you all have a great one!  Love you much!!

Hello there!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new avatar picture!  :)

I'm so glad you and the buggas had a fun filled day yesterday.  I'm sending up prayers for your for Monday.

We had a very nice time at my parents yesterday.  Today I have been out buying a new sheet set and a few other items.  I had to find Nate a replacement surprise gift because he chose not to accept the first one I chose.  Long story short, I got him a computer game and he admitted that it wasn't the best idea for him with his addictive personality.  He was worried it would take away too much time from our relationship.  He got some MAJOR brownie points for that.  I thought it was very sweet.  So I returned the game and found him something else that he has been asking for but we never have looked at buying - a griddle.  He has always wanted to do a full breakfast on one cooking surface.  Once he opens it tonight when he gets home from work I'm going to run to Food Lion and get breakfast fixings and we can make breakfast for dinner tonight.  YUMMO.  I HOPE he likes this idea.  :)

Have a great rest of the afternoon!

Happy Boxing Day!!!
Last night I felt ill due to all of the food eaten yesterday. More than what my ouch could hold. Lately, I get severe sharp pains after eating. Sometimes I break out in a sweat. Very uncomfortable, and sometimes scary.
Thankfully I was able to get a full night sleep...not waking up for pain pills in the middle of the night. This is a first in a long time..almost 11 weeks. Today I feel more energetic.
First thing was a trip to the gym for physical therapy. The knee bends at 95*! Goal is 109*. Then to the bank and to my favorite place for coffee. At home, relaxed and checking puter.
Saturday will include lunch at Amego's with FFP Meet and Greet. Looking forward to the gathering. Not sure what will happen the rest of the day.
     Peace and joy to all....
