I got the best gift ever!

My daddy came home this morning! We were making breakfast at my moms when he called and said that he could come home...but had to go back for shots and blood work daily for a bit. He is home now. We visited at my moms for a bit then came home and opened presents and then he promptly fell asleep in the recliner in the living room. I am so thankful to have him home on this very blessed and special day and praise the Lord for the miracle of it all. Thank you all so much for the prayers. We still need them as his recovery is a long one ahead but I am grateful for what we have been blessed with so far! MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!

So glad to hear this Tammy.

I've spent all day in the ER with my mom. She fell twice, no broken bones thankfully. They did admit her to the hospital tonight though.

What is going on with your mom? Prayers are being said for you and her. Please let me know if I can do anything. It sounds like a good thing that she is admitted so she will have help around the clock and hopefully will not fall again! I am glad there are no broken bones.

And youre right, glad she's there now. She fell about 10 on Christmas Eve night. 2 of my sisters found her about 3 in the morning but she refused to go to the ER. Christmas morning, I kept calling her with no answer. I went over at 9 and she had fallen again.

ER doc said as you get older your body cannot process the meds she was taking as quickly through the system. They are going to lower her meds and monitor for a few days. They said her blood pressure was too low and thus made her weak.

Prayers are going up for your dad. It is so, so, so hard to watch your parents grow old.
