Totally Tuesday!

I am up and raring to go today so figured I would post since it hadn't been done yet.  Kat I hope things are okay with you this a.m.  Had a good day at work, busy as we were all trying to tie up loose ends before the holidays.  The party was a nice break.  Last night was a quiet night at home as hubby and I just relaxed and watched a movie together.  Today will be quiet at work as most are out of the office on leave already or in meetings elsewhere.  Then when it is all over I will be off until the 5th.  So ready for the break.  We get the girlies tonight & plan to work on our Christmas cookies.  Hope you have a great one!!!1

Good AM beautiful.  Monday was pretty good for the most part for us.  We got almost all of our agenda done between Sunday and Monday.  I need to go and pick up my van some time today...my uncle just fixed it for me...and will be at the hospital a lot today then I have my checkup at 3 this afternoon.  Dad is not doing great and still inpatient...I will update in another thread.  I do have to go to work tomorrow and then am off until Monday.  With new groups starting on Jan 1st...we ALL are REQUIRED to work...no time off at all.  I won't have another day after this Friday until February!  No time off for the entire month of January!  Well, time to post about my dad then head to the hospital.  Love you!  Have a fabulous day.

Today is about trying to get as much work done so I can enjoy my time off for Christmas.  My husband and I are traveling up north after Christmas to visit his mother.  This is the first long road trip for our daughter.  I've already taken a boatload of work home because things are VERY busy when I get back to work on Jan 5!!  That is the one problem with taking time off - the amount of work waiting for you when you get back to work!!

My daughter, SIL, and I are going to see a play tonight in Roanoke. The title is A Simple Gift. It is about a 10 year old girl named Carrie. Well my 10 year old daughter is named Carrie. My hubby and kids are staying with my brother to watch football and eat pizza.

Only 1 more party to go. Through all these festivities, I have been able to lose 2 pounds since Thursday. I have been eating more than usual. I don't understand. Guess that is my Christmas present.

Count, thank you for doing this for Kat. She is a little under the weather right now and could use some prayers and we take Kayla for her appointment this afternoon and see how things go. Everyone stay well Kat will be back tomorrow and until than take care.

It is busy here too - work is not as quiet as I would like and some office politics went on and now the 1/2 day we always get for Christmas has been changed due to company policy  - so we are all expected to work on Wednesday for the day - not fair! We used to always finish at lunchtime.......... oh well....

Running around taking Connor places and giving out Christmas presents to his little friends.... to say he is excited about Christmas is such an understatement - he is like a cat on a hot tin roof lol!!

I still have a few of his presents to wrap today when he is out and then I am totally done.... I am more excited about this Christmas than I have been about many previous to it - I am so lucky to get this second chance to see Christmas through the eyes of a child and I feel so blessed that I can give him the kind of things that he has asked for but does not know if he will get them or not. His belief in Santa is total and it is magical. Heck, I know better yet I so want to believe in something as totally as Connor does!

Hope you all have a wonderful day...... I am praying for Kat and her doctor's visit with Kayla this afternoon!! That is magical too!

Morning!  We are wrapping up things for the year here at work and then off to our company meeting.  I'm excited.  I'm reading for good food and to see all the field employees that I don't see very often.  :)

Other than that I'm planning a shopping trip this evening to get my last surprise gift for Nate (we always have at least something to open up that we aren't expecting) and a few more giftcards and I'm done.

We decided to do Christmas Eve with Nate's mom, originally we were going to go over Christmas morning but she left us a message with what time she gets off on the eve so I'm thinking she would prefer that.  Also, I'm wondering if maybe we could find a place that is open to take her to dinner.  Tonight I'm gong to try and remember to call around and see what the area restaurants hours are for xmas eve.

Today I am going to relax. My girls are with my mom and hubby goes to work in 3hrs so I will be alone..YAY!!! I have done nothing but rip and run for the past 2 weeks and I'm exhaustedright now. I have more shopping to do but it can wait till tomorrow.

What a wonderful sight to see the sun shining today!!! May everyone stop for a few to remember the reason for the season, no matter what holiday you celebrate!
   In a few I am off to the store to pick up some flour...another batch of cookies to make. also stopping off at my coffee spot. Being able to drive again is such a wonderful gift.
   Baking and working out are on the agenda for today. Also need to house clean.
