Gaining not loosing

Have you tried Pure protein bars. They are my favorite, especially peanut butter and marshmallow. And as Tammy said, I like the EAS advantage shakes. Put them in the freezer for about 30 minutes before you drink to make really cold. I like them better that way. I too did not like any protein that you had to mix, but the ready to drink protein is so much better. Good luck.

As others have said, stalls do happen.  You just have to hang in there, and the stall should break.

With regard to the one meal a day, only 30 grams of protein, etc....  I can't stress enough how important that protein is, along with having many small meals through the day.  Schedules can be hectic, but in order to take care of yourself, you have to find the time to do these things, along with taking your supplements and fluids.  There are protein supplements out there that are tolerable...you may consider getting samples to see what works for you (i.e., http://shop.bariatriceating.com/Protein-Sample-Starter-Kit_p _18-77.html).  Personally, I like Unjury protein (www.unjury.com).  There are a lot of good protein bars out there-- jus****ch the carbs and the sugars.  If you are a fan of yogurt, the greek yogurts are usually high in protein.

Exercise:  Anything is better than nothing...even if it is parking the car further away to walk more, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.  It really does make a difference.

If things don't seem right, as the others have said, you should use your best resource...your surgeon's office.  Call them and let them know what is going on and see what they say.

Good luck to you!

Hey, Ann:

Greek yogurt is a thicker yogurt with a LOT of protein in it.  There are several brands out there -- Fage, Oikos and Chobani are the three I am familiar with.  I get the unflavored ones because there is much less sugar, and I add different things to it to include fruit, Kashi Go Lean cereal, ground flax seed.  It's a great way to get in your protein.

I find mine at Giant, but I have seen Fage at Bloom and Trader Joes -- I am guessing that most of the larger grocery stores carry some brand of the yogurt -- if not, ask them to start!  I know Giant has a tough time keeping it in stock.  I love it.  :)
