THANK GOODNESS IT'S FRIDAY YA'LL!
Good am,
How are ya'll doing? Good I hope. How was your Thursday? I'm just going to chock this week up to the Devil trying his best to make me become a full fledged news bunny! Sigh. I'm serious when I say there was a lot we could have gone the whole day not dealing with. The only reason I even ate lunch is because my fav rockstar brought it to me & I felt bad because I'd forgotten all about it. The am started off pretty well. I took care of a few things in the am and as the day progressed things got a lot more stressful. Why is it some folks have to have control (all the time) and tend to leave out vital pieces of information??? Just saying we all know someone like this. Ok, enough I'll shutty and get to the good stuff.
In the pm, I finally snapped out of the loomie gloomies and was stoked when Kayla got home from school. We've been counting down the days to Winter Break. We've got some much we want to work on this weekend and the first few days of next week. We're going to become elves in our own rights! I got a couple errands accomplished and then spent the evening with the buggas playing Alvin & the Chipmunks. Got homework done, dinner, jammies and into bed with a movie and actually had a few minutes to breathe alone. :) It clicked in my head that I've been going about some situations in the least effective manner. So, I've got some things I'm going to implement and we'll go from there. Climbed into bed after watching House (again) and conked out.
What's on the books for your Friday & weekend? Today I have several errands, chores, phone calls; a To Do List and I'm hoping and praying to get things done while Kayla is at school and I can occupy Nora with a few things. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve and I hope they work. As for the weekend we're getting things ready for Christmas. Saturday we have an appointment to pick up a few things then its back home for more "making." :) Hopefully we're going to get some nature time in as well. On Sunday, I sincerely hope to be a bum! Yep, just being honest. I hope that I get to stay to myself. Won't be on much today or the weekend so I hope everyone has a GREAT Friday and wonderful weekend!

Morning Beautiful!!! Sounds like you are working your way through everything. Glad that you have had a somewhat decent week. Sounds like your weekend will be major fun. My Thursday was busy, work girlies, errands, dinner, etc. Managed to make it through even if my night was a bit later than I wanted. Great weekend plans here. We have some Christmas shopping to finish up, baking to do, plans with some friends on Saturday night, and then on Sunday Christmas starts. We will be going to my mom's for our Christmas dinner there. So excited. Hope you have a great one! Love you much!!!
Hey Court,
Sometimes I forget that I have control over some things and when I allow negative stuff to creep in and take over I have to remind myself I need to get grounded again. Hope you get everything you want done this weekend. Enjoy everything! Love you.

Good morning, beautiful! I wish you luck with getting everything done before Kayla gets home. I know she is ready to have two full weeks at home with no school!
Yesterday was pretty good for me overall. Work went well and I got dumped into a training class at the last minute (got to work right thru lunch!) then left a few minutes after 5 and went to see my dad. He was asleep so I just sat there for a bit and he woke up about 15 minutes after I got there. His pain level is horrible! He has three chest tubes for drains and one is right against the lung so everytime he breathes...it is nasty pain. Hopefully they will be coming out any minute. We got to talk a bit and I reassured him that it was OK that the food tasted "nasty" and that he really wasn't hungry. He thinks something is wrong because he doesn't want too much to eat. I did not stay long because he was due for a dose of pain meds and I wanted him to get it and be able to rest some more. Right now that is what he needs the most. When I was leaving I noticed someone I knew in the waiting room...his mom was having an emergency heart cath! We talked for a few miniutes and prayed and then Kara and I came home. I got some laundry out of the way and a little bit of cleaning and tried to relax some and watch some tv. Steve finally caught up on some sleep...which I am grateful for. He needs a lot more but this was a start! I climbed into the bed about 9:30 totally exhausted...both mentally and physically!
I called this AM first thing to check on dad then went over before work for a visit. He is doing better but still in tons of pain. On the books for today is work, lunch with most of my family...my cousin is in town from Texas and we have not seen him in just over three years! (can you tell I am excited!) then back to the hospital. At some point I need to get some more laundry done and then some rest for tonight.
I will be doing the papers (praying Steve will help me again like he did last week!) tonight, working my third job tomorrow then back to the hospital.
Sunday is going to do papers in the AM, picking up returns and getting billing together for Monday AM, visiting with my daddy as much as possible and sleeping if I can.
Monday will be super busy for a part of the day...I have to do billing in the AM, hopefully bring daddy home after that, wrap Christmas presents and somehow finish shopping!
Hope you have a fabulous weekend and can vegge on Sunday. Let me know if you wanna go out for a cuppa...I think we both could use the relaxing time away from it all!
Love you much!

Happy Friday! The weekend is almost here and I'm EXCITED! :)
Chin up and try not to let those loomy gloomies set in today. And yes, we all know someone like that LOL
I love Alvin and the Chipmunks, it was was such a cute movie. Nate and I laugh at Theodore becasue our cat Piper is just like him. All about the food. LOL
I'm dreading the Light "family" Christmas Saturday night. Notice the emphasis on "family"...if they say so... ;) But I will get through it like usual. I just hope I don't have to knock some teeth. LOL
HUgs! and have a great rest of the day!

Hey Lauren,
I admit they set in today right nicely but things have CHANGED this pm! I'm really thrilled about some things and I'm smiling. Prayers really DO get heard and answered even if its not in "our" time.
Oh gosh even I dig the movie. I think its a cute movie too. It came with this really cool computer CD-Rom that the buggas like to pay and so that's been fun to watch too.
Think happy thoughts about the dinner. I know its not your fav thing. Sending up some prayers that you don't have to get rough!
Hugs.

Good morning all!! Yes, it's still morning, even though I've only got 2 minutes of it left...lol.
Man did I sleep good...thank God for good drugs!! Ya know, I was almost exhausted all over again after reading ya'lls posts...busy, busy, BUSY...(said in the voice of the bad guy on Frosty the Snowman). But then I started making my own To-Do list...let's see...
Gotta fill the kerosene can so Mike has heat in his workshop this weekend as he finishes making gifts; drop a bunch of stuff off at Salvation Army...gotta make room for Mike's tractor in the garage; grocery store to buy all my Xmas dinner stuff...ya'll are inspiring me to want to bake, which is a rare occassion for me. Would sugar cookies taste just as good if I use the Splenda?? And guess what Mike wants for his birthday dinner on Christmas Day? BBQ ribs, my potato salad, corn on the cob...what's he think this is? July picnic? LOL ; major vet call at 330P today...big dogs need their shots, Tucker has ear issues, & Holly, the new pup, puked up a worm....ewwwwww!!! This is gonna be expensive. Then big post office run...I'm determined to mail out the last of the boxes to my guys, mail all my cards, send a surprise gift to my elderly cousin in NY (I made him a heavy scarf & I'm sending it to him with a gift tag that says its from his cats! LOL). Finally, laundry & some cleaning. At the moment I'm nibbling on some leftover Chinese food...mostly veggies, with some stirfry chicken...yummy.
As for the rest of the weekend, some gift wrapping, baking, cleaning, finishing gift making.
Well, now that I've mapped out my tasks, I guess I better get my butt in gear!! Hope everyone has a fun-filled, stress-free (or less stress), anti-hectic weekend filled with much needed rest! See ya'll on Monday.

Hey Ann,
Glad you slept well. That's always helpful when you've been feeling crummy.
I HEART being on the go with my To Do List! Keeps me moving, not thinking too much and getting things accomplished. Plus, its been raining here for a while so I dig that too even if it makes me feel lazy.
Mike is asking for a lot huh! Have fun and hope and pray you a) get everything done you'd like to b) you and Matt don't collapse c) dinner goes off without a hitch d) doggies don't empty the pockets too badly e) you enjoy your weekend. :)

Happy Friday to everyone!!!
Love reading of everyone's holiday plans. Thank you for the wonderful Christmas cards, too. Happy Hanakkah!!
After a better night sleep than the night before, I woke up refreshed. Showered and ventured to a friend's house for breakfast and prayer. Then headed to my favorite spot for coffee, before going to physical therapy. My knee is hurting today...perhaps the rain and cold.
Ate lunch out before coming home. Rested some and checking e-mails, etc.
A great movie to watch is Horton Hears a Who. A great message as only Dr. Suess can.
For Saturday, I'll be working at the UVA Men's Basketball game. It is an afternoon game, which is great!!!
May be back on Sunday!!!
Peace,
Cindy
