Good morning all!  First of all a huge THANKS to Kat and Momma Pat.  The visits were awesome and really helped to take my mind off of the clock and I am grateful that you kept everyone updated.  I am truly blessed to have you both (and Rich and the buggas!) in my life.  From the bottom of my heart...THANK YOU!

I will go back to Tuesday so I can let you all know everything.

Kara, Adam and I went to see daddy before her winter chorus concert Tuesday evening.  We were planning on going for an hour, going to the concert then I was going to take them to my sister's and go back for the evening...yeppers...I was gonna spend the night with my daddy!  Well, the surgeon came in and said that one of the key pieces of equipment (the laser they were planning on using) was broken!  Our choices were to have the surgery with out the laser, postpone until who knows when since there was no ETA on when it would be fixed, cancel and risk a major heart attack or transfer to Chippenham.  Well, we chose to transfer!  We got to the hospital about 2 AM.  I rode in the ambulance with my dad and my mom, sister and neice followed us.  WE got him all settled (straight to ICU) and they left...I stayed.  I helped get him all prepped and then he got a sleeping pill and I crashed on a conference room sofa for 45 minutes or an hour.  Then it was time for the "final" prep and to see him off to the OR.  I was with him and walked him to the last possible place I could go then went to the waiting room.  It was OK there...very cold and not very comfy seats but it was my home for about 6 hours.  They had a volunteer come out and give us some information and they brought a complimentary breakfast and coffee cart by about 10 AM.  They called out of the OR when they were about 3/4 done and said everything looked good and they would be about another hour or hour and a half.  Relief!  Things were going well!  is surgeon came out in just about an hour and said he looked great and the surgery was a success!  They did a double bypass and they did not even need the laser at all!  I stayed until 10 last night and then came home and crashed hard!  I was/am completely exhausted.  I have been over to see him this morning and he is off of the vent and up sitting in a chair.  He did fall asleep in the chair but he is still on some serious pain meds that will do that!  I am so grateful to everyone for all of your support, messages and prayers.

Thank you so much!  The prayers were certaintly answered and I am grateful to you for saying them.  Rest is not in sight...at least until NEXT Friday!  I will be working today and tomorrow and visiting my dad in the evenings...doing the papers early Saturday AM, working my other job on Saturday. visiting my dad again Saturday evening, papers Sunday AM, returns later Sunday AM, visiting with dad more on Sunday, billing first thing Monday AM, hopefully bringing daddy home on Monday mid AM or early afternoon, watching over and helping him Monday and Tuesday, Froggy's checkup on Tuesday afternoon, work on Wednesday then Christmas!  Somewhere in there I have to finish shopping (almost done!) and then I have to wrap EVERYTHING and even finish decorating the house...I also have to clean, cook Christmas dinner and do the laundry!  Steve can't help since he is working his two jobs as well...and Kara will help do what she can.  I think I have plans to sleep ALL DAY on Friday...or as long as I can anyway.  Daddy will still be needing help, I am sure, so I will be there for him.  I will just get up when Steve goes hunting and crash on the sofa so I can hear him!  God is with us and he will see me thru this next week and make sure I have what I need...I am just grateful he was with my daddy!

Tam you are welcome and I enjoyed being with you. I will keep your dad in my prayers. I ask that you keep me and my dad in yours as I have 30 days to find a place for my dad starting today.
I am glad your dad is doing better and will do better day after day.

It was a pleasure to have you and Kat with me and it helped a lot!  I have you and your family in my prayers and they will remain there.  I am praying that you are able to find a good place for him and do it within the allotted time.  Prayers will not stop...please let me know if I can help!
