WELCOME TO THURSDAY YA'LL!

Good am,

How are ya'll doing? Great I hope. How was your Thursday? Ours was testy for sure. Things started off well. Managed to get everyone headed in their directions for the day then I headed over to hang out with Tammy for a bit. She & I chatted and enjoyed cuppas and a freebie breakfast. I switched mid afternoon with mom and she went over for a bit. We are hoping we helped take her mind off her worries at least for a bit. Came back home and had tons to do. We've got some issues with my Grandfather and his goings on's and so we'll be working on those today. Let's just say I did NOT have my attitude in check including my disbelief, frustration and down right annoyance in dealing with ignorance and folks who didn't realize how well we understand the law and the checks in which we all need to follow. Sigh. Seriously yesterday was NOT their day and today isn't looking good either. Prayers please as this is stressful on mom and our family. In the pm, things were calmer with the exception of the neighbor's kid breaking one of our nativity scene people. I was livid but I cooled it, told him to get his coat and shoes on and book it for the rest of the pm. Whew doggies. Dinnertime, homework, bits and pieces of a couple TV shows, almost midnight puking by Kayla and some restless sleep rounded out the night.

Seriously its a new day with new chances and opportunities for a better one. So, what's on the books for your Thursday? Lots to do, several phone calls, chores, working on Cmas projects and plans and checking in to see how some folks are doing. I don't know what all this day brings but I'm praying for a good attitude, soft places to land and lots of love. Well, its time to wake Kayla up. Hopefully she's feeling better today. I hope everyone enjoys their Thursday!

Just wanted to check in. My last week has been very busy. I was on my shift at the bank and in addition I was trying to end the year at the business. So I feel pretty free today until I go back to work the day after Christmas. Boy do I feel good. I plan to wrap all my presents today while the kids are at school. Then I have a party every day until Christmas except for Tuesday night. Should be lots of fun.

Just wanted to say hello and tell everone I miss them.

Good morning, beautiful!  What a hectic morning this has been thus far...praying things settle down a bit so we can tackle some issues we have been dealing with.

Wednesday was long and stressful but thanks to the Lord, two fabulous friends (Thank you and Pat!) and a wonderful surgeon I made it thru it.  I am still exhausted (as is Steve as well) but we are surviving.  I was the only one with my dad when he went back to surgery and Steve got to the hospital shortly after that.  He stayed with me for a couple of hours then I looked up and Kat was coming around the corner.  Lots of good convos, venting, cuppas and freebie breakfast were awesome.  My mind never left my dad but I was able to relax and not feel super stressed and that helped more than anyone could know.  Had an issue to deal with at Kara's school and then Kat and Momma Pat switched places to keep me occupied more!  Steve would have been there but he could not leave work for the entire day!  I finally got back to see dad at about 2:30 but only for 5 minutes or so.  Then it was back to the waiting room for two hours then I got another 5 minutes.  I went back one more time before shift change and got a whopping 3 minutes.  I really did not like his nurse one bit!  I did call backthere promptly at 8 when the last time slot of the evening opened and got to see him for over an hour.  Steve was there with me this time and my mom came back up there, too.  His overnight nurse was very helpful and answered all of our questions and was very reassuring.  After that I came home, started the dishwasher and a load of laundry and crashed HARD!  I slept great for a couple of hours then became restless and kept waking up.  Went over and saw dad this AM...he's up out of the bed and in a chair!  The vent is out and he is alert and not in too much pain right now.  I know later today he will be really hurting.  They did do a double bypass and did not need the laser at all (this is why we changed hospital's...for the laser!).  I do have to work a full day but will be heading back to the hospital as soon as I get off from here.  I will be calling my dad frequently and checking in.  Other than work and being with him...no big plans!

Love you much!

I called a bit ago and he was/is in a lot of pain but doing pretty good otherwise.  I ended up in a rescheduled training class...so there is the remainder of my work day!

Love you!

Good morning sunshine,
Yesterday was a ok day. Did some errands, put up tree, school concert and back to church to pick up the other two grandchildren and then off to bed around 10;
Today Thursday, I took the girls to school, cleaned up the dishes , waiting for hubby to get up so I can wash the bed sheets., wrap some presents and do a few errands. Tonight make some more cookies with the girls for their classes at school tomorrow,. and tomorrow I am going to volunteer at my granddaughter's ( Emily's ) classroom.

                         THANK YOU
                        KAT AND PAT
for going to the hospital and spending time with Tammy while her daddy was in surgery. You are a blessing to me and others on the board.
Love and prayers to you both and your families.

Greetings to all!!!  Hope that Thursday evening is going well for all of you.
Last night was a sleepeless night, so need to say today I was and still am sluggish and tired. To sleep, I take medication and ran out. This morning I headed to the bank to cash a check and to the pharmacy to have the meds filled. Sleep is looking very nice for tonight.
In addition to running to the pharmacy, I spent time at my favorite coffee spot. Read our weekly paper and sipped some coffee. I am trying to drink less caffeine, but their coffee is so good.
At home, I worked on knee exercises and rested. Also baked mini pumpkin and chocolate bread loaves. They are in the oven as I type, making the house smell so gooood! Yesterday I baked a Gingerbread, and the scent of ginger lingers. Might make Chocolate chip cookies to round of my baking for Christmas.
In the morning my prayer group is meeting up the street from me....nice morning walk. Headed to physical therapy and who knows what, after that.
   Hope to check in tomorrow.

Hey Cindy,

I hope you had a restless night last pm. You know you bring up something I've not done in SEVERAL weeks and that is get out and have a cuppa OUT some place. I baked pumpkin bread last pm and its GONE. Its really yummy. The prayer group sounds wonderful. I've actually been doing one online (helps me keep up with those I have on my list and those I don't even know). Take care. :)
