Life could not get any better than this!
Good morning! Or actually afternoon at this point...
The weekend was a good one for me. I went and looked at 5 different places for flooring I was dissapointed to find out the price point I like vs. the price point I was hoping to spend are two different things. As of right now, we are going to wait and see what deals come along. There was just nothing that met my fancy enough to spend the extra money that I hadn't planned on. I will be returning some samples tomorow evening and tell the place that I liked the best for their information and service and time spent with me that we are ready to JUMP given the right deal, but right now they are not where I want to be at money wise. I was planning on negotiating, but I would have to negotiate too much with their current stock and pricing. So I'll wait until they get some closeout deals come through in the next coming months.
Sunday I spent the majority of the day cleaning. I felt SO good to finally have the my craft room/3rd bedroom presentable (vs being the "junk room") :) And the kids/kits had so much fun exploring a new area. (We always kept the door closed for fear of not finding them in that black hole of doom. LOL.) I assembled Nanny's antique sewing machine back together and it sits proudly in my "artsy fartsy room" as my dad named it several years ago. We had taken the cabinet off the cast iron base for transporting. I wish I could show Nanny how proud I am of it. But she thinks Lisa (her grandaughter) has it, so we are going to just keep mum. Lisa doesn't sew and didn't want it. I grabbed it for sure to keep it in the family. And it is a welcome adition in my craft/sewing room. To me it is priceless. I'm thinking of refinishing the cabinet one of these days too. :)
Well today is MOANday. But thankfully it is going by quickly. Hopefully not too quickly though as I have quite a bit of work to do this afternoon on my bid. Other than that, I have an appt this evening and then home to relax.
Have a great afternoon!

Hi Lauren :) Sounds like you had a nice weekend as well. I hope ya'll find something wonderful for the flooring you are looking to update. I LOVE cleaning! I need to do a lot of it right now but I'm not really getting much done today. Been processing and have some storms going on so I'm keeping myself busy. I'm glad you got your art room done up the way you like it. I bet you feel accomplished for sure. Hope your Monday has been wonderful. :)

Good Monday to all of you....
Kat, hope that this week is better for you than last week. Glad that your daughter and mom are healing. Now, maybe it is time to take time out for you.
The weekend was fun and relaxing...parties, Christmas shopping and getting cards ready to mail. Spent time calling a favorite aunt, who was once a nurse. Talking to her about post knee surgery helped to relieve some questions and concerns.
Today will include a physical therapy session. This evening I will return to my part time job...ushering at the Neil Diamond concert. Looking forward to hearing some of his tunes and to be out and working. Those medical bills are coming in now, so the extra money will be well needed.
This Friday I return to the surgeon for a follow up. Along with x-rays and progress report, I will be able to find out when I can return to my full time job. Maybe I can start out working part time and gradually return to full time.
Got to get ready for my ride to physical therapy.
Peace,
Cindy
