Well..just a quick lil note..I did it!! Woot Woot!! I'm so proud of myself...I actually did it! The talking about it just didnt make it seem too real, until I got my date...Dec. 4th, 2008...OMG, seemed like it really snuck up on me fast...thats when I started wiggin' out! But I pulled thru...home after a less than 24 hour stay at St. Marys...Dr. Schroder was the BOMB!!!  I've had no complications so far...lil broth, crystal lite, and shakes...Im good!! Okay but lemme get gross on ya real quick...I do burp, and yeah, I pass some gas....but can someone tell me WHEN will I finally go to the bathroom?!* I've been taking the stool softener/laxatives just to keep me from gettin' all backed up..but I'm still yet to go...3 days out, seem to be good so far, if I could only go..lol...any thing I need to do differently?

Congrats on your surgery!!!  Theburping farting, that seems to be a life long sentence, but just a minimal to the benifits.  My recomendation, be careful of the softner and laxitives.  Your body can get addicted to it and rely on it.  I went through real bad constipation when I was on mushies.  And when I would go, it was like giving birth. Not fun!!  My gastro Dr gave me a prescription for this one stuff and said take that or miralax.  Your body does not get addicted and relant on it.  It does take a couple of days to get things moving.  She told me to take it after 3 days of no stool.  I have not had to use it yet.  What I did get and what is very impartive and to up your fiber intake.  At this stage it is hard to get enough of it in.  But I used I think tastless benifiber and mixed it in with my protein drinks.  Yes it increased my flatence, but it helped tremendously with being able to go.  I have stopped taking it as I am no more regular, but it was life saving for my bowels and my sanity.

Meslissa...Thanks so much for the info! Yes, I'll def. try that...I dont mind the "noise-making"..haha..long as "everything" is working right...Yeah Miralax..have heard of it..will have to check into that too..'preciate it! Thanks for the congrats.....I still cant believe I did it...I mean, especially after my showers, I'll stand back and look at my belly and I'm like "WOW"...I guess seeing the incisions makes it hit home...of course, I'm not seeing anything yet when I look in the mirror, but I didnt expect to either, specially not after only 3 days.  I'am looking forward to the Mushie stage though..Cottage cheese..OMG..my fav...Well thanks for letting me know! Have a super Sunday!!

I had to smile while reading your post...you are so excited & pleased with your decision.  Good for you!!  Melissa's correct about the Benefibre...it really does help with little effort.  You can put it into ANYTHING.  So have no fear about "fluffing"...small price to pay for your final payoff.  You go girl!!

Hugs!

Ann.....Yeah hun, I'm so super excited!! I wasted no time getting the benefibre...got hubby at Walmart now..LOL!!!   Had to laugh at "Fluffing"...it just sounds so "delicate"..hahah...I did read in some of the papers that they sent me home with...which as you know, is like 100,000 papers....I saw where they also recommended "Milk of Magnesia"....just so happens that I have some here...had to kinda keep it around for my daughter...So I downed a tblspn. of that nasty "cherry" flavored gunk...which, didnt do anything but put a horrid taste in my mouth...Have a super evening hun
