I read today in the Free Lance Star that Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg is ending their weight loss surgery program.  It will affect about 120 Pre and Post surgery patients.  That's a shame.

Yes, it is a shame but thankfully there are other facilities and COE's within a reasonable driving distance.  And by the way...Welcome to the VA board!

Welcome to the VA Board! This story has impacts far reaching but support is being offered and we are here as well. I hope that everyone takes a minute to read Jackie's post regarding her support group and know that anyone can come here for support as well. All best! :)

Hi Tommy!  Nice to see a bit more testosterone 'round here!  :)  We have a couple great guys who pop in from time to time!  :)  If you don't already know, I think there is a great Men's forum too on OH if you are looking for a big more "man speak".  :)

Thanks for the Welcome.  I've been lurking for a couple of months.  I learned a tremendous amount information in regards to what to expect of my surgery from these forums.  There are some things that my NUT and surgeon just won't tell me unless I ask them.  This website is great.

Hi Tommy and welcome to the VA Board.

Yes it is very sad but to many of us, not totally unexpected...... Many people complained of being ignored and calls etc not returned - does not inspire much confidence.  Howeve they did have an excellent nutritionaisdt Deanna Duval - she is first rate.........
