You are doing great things..and we all appreciated it!  I wish I could do more but I am sending things to my own adopted boys and girls.  Mine are in Iraq but they are the platoon mates of my cousin.  He is home after receiving three purple hearts but still has great friends over there.  I send things as often as I can and e mail almost daily!

Glad you are doing OK and that the sleep is coming better.  Insomnia sucks!  I have it, too!

Wow, Tams...3 purple hearts...bless his heart.  You're doing a wonderful thing, but then you already know that.  Thanks for what you do.  And yeah, it's great to be getting some sleep for a change.

Hugs!

Yep, three of 'em.  He also spent is 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st birthdays over there as well as all for Thanksgiving's, Christmas' and New Year's Eve's!  He has been home for a year now and is still pretty messed up.  He will be blind by the time he is 35...and he turns 23 on December 17th.  He is a trooper!

Hey, Ann!

I wanted to say THANK YOU to YOU.  I am so glad to be able to do the little that I have, and look forward to helping in the future.  I don't know where you get the energy to do everything that you do, but those young men are so lucky to have you in their corner!  I hope and pray that they all stay out of harm's way and return home to their loved ones as quickly as possible.  I hope they know how proud we are of them and of the service they provide to this country of ours.

Thank you for letting me be a part of this!  :)  You're the best, my friend!

Hey Sweetie!!  I guess your ears were burning, huh? LOL  I'll tell ya what, Lovie, when they get those cards they will DEFINITELY know that they are loved...thanks to you & your elves.  I've actually been thinking of running away from home one day during the week & come out YOUR WAY to visit.  Maybe we can yak on the phone & try to plan something?

I swear, this is the best love job I've ever had.  It gives me purpose, ya know?  You know what would absolutely make my day?  To be there, in Texas, when they all finally come home.  Just to hug even one of them.  Of course I'll just be a big old puddle, but I think crying tears of joy  is allowed.

I love you very much, Cindy.  Thanks for being my friend.

Hugs!

We should definitely plan you running away in my direction, lol.  We'll yak and plan!

You know, you SHOULD go and meet them when they return!  Those homecomings are amazing...and you would definitely be a puddle...but how wonderful it would be!  I bet the guys would love to have a chance to get together with you...just a thought!  :)

Glad to know you are sleeping better -- there's nothing worse than dragging through the days because you can't get any sleep...UGH.  Keep up the great work, and taking care of yourself!

Love you too, Ann!  Let's talk soon!  :)

Well thank you, hon!  Are you & the buggas still up to the challenge for Valentine's Day?  If you are, I was just looking at the calendar.  For any hope of them getting to the guys by Feb 14th, I'd need to get them in the mail by January 10th.

I have an idea myself, that I think they would love.  I'm going to find out who their FRG is & ask her if she could get me photos from the guys' families of Christmas.  Put them all together in  a video & hopefully have it all done in time for V's Day.

Brooke, maybe your kids would like to do this too.  Maybe make some heart chains for the guys to hang up.  They could put little messages on each heart such as "Be Safe" or "Thanks" or " B my (heart)" ...stuff like that.  then they could be strung on yarn or string.  Just an idea.

Kat, let me know if your mission is still a go.  And please hug the buggas for me & tell 'em Auntie Bagel misses them!!

Hugs!

Yes, the buggas & I will work on cards for Valentine's Day. :) We will work diligently on them and I will be sure to get them to you BEFORE they have to be mailed. I'll be in touch.
