Looking for PCP in Woodbridge, Va area

Hi,

I am looking for a WLS friendly/knowledgeable- PCP in the Woodbridge, Va area.  Any recommendations?

I am with Kaiser Permanente currently, but on Jan 1st my insurance gets changed to Aetna and now I have to learn a whole new way of working with doctors and insurance companies.  I have had Kaiser for over 15 years and that is all I know.   So my first step is to find a PCP and OB?GYN.  I have been on the Aetna web site to get a list of the doctors, but that is like looking in the yellow pages, closing your eyes and pointing with your finger on the page and picking the doctor that you pointed too.

So any recommendations would be helpful.

Not in NoVA here but wanted to wish you luck!

If youre with Kaiser, go to the Woodbridge Kaiser and see Dr. Abisuga.  Not sure if you have a preference though. He is an African dr and he is very nice, he listens and he gave me everything I asked for when I was with Kaiser.   If I were to change my insurance back to Kaiser, I would go back to him.  However I am now with Cigna.  I hope this helps. 

Oh, also Dr. Abisuga is an Internal Medicine PCP, not OBGYN.

I live in Woodbridge, but my PCP is up near my office (I work in Chantilly) so I don't have to take much time of for doc's appointments.

Like you, though, I am looking for a good gynecologist who has experience with WLS patients, specially since I still plan on having kids in the future after my surgery.
