Lets list some WLS things we are thankful for. I know before I had surgery I loved reading these type of posts. Hopefully this will encourage some of the newbies.

1. I am thankful that my towel fits around me now.

2. I am thankful that my energy level is so much better.

3. I am thankful for my marriage and the improvements in it since surgery.

4. I am thankful that I can cross my legs.

5. I am thankful that I can shop in regular size depts.

1. I am thankful for the health & energy to be able to play with my nieces & nephews, and spend time with my girlies.

2. I am thankful for the changes in myself mentally & physically that have allowed my life to improve.

3. I am thankful for the "family" I have here on the board.

Great post!  :)

Reasons why I am thankful for my WLS:

1.  I am able to wear more stylish clothes because my size is smaller, also I am able to find something in any store, not just one super plus size store.

2.  I have plenty of room in booth style seating at a restuarant.

3.  I can cross my legs

4.  I can sneak into small parking spots because I don't need to fully extend the door to get out.

5.  I can weigh myself on any scale,

6.  I feel pretty again and my confidence has been boosted

7.  I have met wonderful people in the WLS community

and of course my TOP REASON - I'm closer to starting a family and my life and marriage finally moving to the next stage in life.  June 2009 HERE I COME!  :)

I can't forget these constants in my life, WLS or not they are the reason why I have stability, love and sanity (okay and sometimes not so sane times) - my husband, my parents and my other family and close friends.

OK...so this is a SUPER BUSY week for me and my time on the boards is limited...sorry I am late in responding!

I am thankful for so much!  I am sure I will forget some things but here goes....

more time and energy with my daughter, hubby and the rest of my family

being able to get on the floor and then get up without help

smaller sizes and more stylish clothes

being able to shop anywhere i want

an active liftstyle

of course the sex life...but it wasn't lacking preop either!

being able to run circles around my hubby and have to stop and wait for him to catch up with me

my OH family and friends

the connections that i have made since surgery

i keep getting interrupted here at work...i know there is more so i may add to this as i remember things!
