Major WOW moments

So I haven't posted much in awhile, things have been really busy this month.  But I had to get on and share my happy news.  My friends and family can be happy with me, but no one truly understands like this amazing OH family.  Let me start by saying that even though I have lost almost 70lbs, I don't see it yet.  Everyone around me sees it, but they tell me so often that I honestly start to doubt them, simply because I know they know I am trying to lose weight.  I am mental, I am completely aware of that!!!

Ok, so I had a bunch of happy moments all at once this weekend.  I went out to dinner with a friend on Thursday night and for the first time in I don't know how long, my stomach didn't touch the table in the booth.  I actually had 4 inches of clearance.  I was stunned.  Not to mention that I felt thinner for the first time that night.  It was an awesome feeling. 

Then on Saturday I decided that since I could pull all of my pants off without unbuttoning them, it was time to go shopping.  I didn't realize that I had been avoiding this so much.  I guess I was afraid that I would get to the store and would not be down any sizes even though none of my clothes fit anymore.  I started out this process in a 26/28 and was on my way up.  I went into Lane Bryant this weekend and left with 18/20 size tops and 22 size pants.  I actually tried on a size 20 pant and it fit.  It so wasn't me, but it fit, I just didn't want to push my luck on that one, I can be patient.  I put on one of my new tops this morning and for the first time I saw the difference.  It was an extremely happy moment for me.  Of course I was late for work, so there wasn't much time to enjoy it.

Ok, sorry this has gotten so long, but my last WOW moment occurred yesterday.  We had a ladies flag football game at church yesterday.  Not only did I play, but I played the entire 45 minutes without a substitute.  I was quarterback, blocked, ran a little, and recovered a fumble.  I have the bruises on my knees to prove it.  And I will wear those bruises like a badge of honor because I was not afraid to play and I did it!!!  I think that was my biggest WOW moment of all.  I never would have even attempted it 3 months ago.  And if anyone is curious, we wom 18-0!!!

Congrats on your wows!!  Thos are wonderful to feel.  I went out to Dinenr with my friend on Friday, and I knew I could fit into a booth now, but I still got scared.  Got in there with no problems and plenty of room.  It always feels great to do "normal" things.

It silly that we get so nervous, but I was totally about to sweat it when I slid right in.  Its all in how we view ourselves I guess and at that point, I still looked like I did 70 pounds ago.  It was also a huge moment when I left Lane Bryant and wasn't sweating!  I always died in there, especially trying on clothes.  Never considered it was because my body was working so hard.

You are awesome!  I can't believe how far you have come in only three months!  I am so happy for you.  These are the first of many WOW moments...savuor every one of them!  Don't buy too many new clothes from LB...they are expensive and you will need much smaller ones extremely soon!

Thanks!!!  Yeah, I kept it in check at LB.  Just bought a couple of things that were necessary.  I can make my dress pants work for longer but jeans and cords get too big really fast.  But I did get great coupons for my next trip and I will stretch them out to cover the next couple of sizes.  I can't wait to be able to go to Old Navy, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, even Target.  My shoes are all too big for me too, but I figure I can wear thicker socks until the spring.

Amanda   So glad you are doing well.   Know what you mean, I sat at restaurant booth for the 1st time this week.  I am fitting in my smaller size clothing.   Other day I looked in the mirror and was shocked at how thin my face was.
