Newbie
Hello everyone! My name is Theresa. I am 35, mom to 5 kiddos (ages 12, 9, 7, 7, & 4) and married to a great guy. My surgery is scheduled for Dec 8th with Dr Kellum at MCV. I just wanted to introduce myself to all of you. I am starting to gear myself up for my pre surgery liquid diet on Monday. I have already stopped all straws, dropped all my caffeine, stopped any and all sugar and started taking vitamins daily. Can you think of anything else I might do ahead of time to make this a bit easier?
Welcome to the boards Theresa. Yoy have done alot of great things so far. Only thing I would suggest is to start light exercises now. Maybe walking. I think it really helps. Your day is almost here. Good luck and keep us updated!

Welcome Theresa! Dec 8th is my daughters birthday! It will be here in no time. How are you doing on the not drinking at least 30 minutes bofore or after or during a meal? It sounds like you are doing great so far...try and get a little exercise in and maybe gor some casseroles in the freezer. You will not feel like cooking for your family post op! I look forward to getting to know you better!

Life could not get any better than this!
Thanks, Tam! What a great idea for meals for the family! I had not thought of that! I have been a little worried about cooking for them and how I will feel about that. I am trying to take the servanthood approach for now, but I do realize that it will be hard. A friend of mine had WLS a yr ago and she told me that she cried over every meal that she had to cook for her family! I will admit that scared me, but I am hoping that doesn't happen! I am going to start planning now for those frozen casseroles.
