Newbie - Having RNY surgery early next year!

Welcome to the VA Board. I am just starting my journey and I have Kaiser also. I was so shocked when my new PCP suggested it to me. I had always wanted the surgery but was afraid to ask. My old PCP left Kaiser and she was always a great inspiration and motivator in helping me lose weight. After she left I gained every pound and extra back. So this surgery will be my permanent weight loss solution.
I started Kaiser's process in September 2008. Its a challenge loosing the 8 pounds required during the process. But I will loose it.
This is a great place for help and encouragement. I just recently joined and felt welcomed right away. Everyone here is great. I get encouraged just reading the post from everyone else. So I'm sure we both will get great information, encouragement and support here.
