Introduction
Welcome to the board! I am in N.Stafford and I had halmi/Tran as my surgeon as well!! They are great. I three little one too. Two girls, eight and seven, and a son who is five.
The last meal syndrome is real. I went through it as well as to get the last taste in before surgery. But I also started makeing steps towards the new me. I lost a total of 39lbs before surgery and I am very happy I did, as it was less weight I had to lose after surgery! Plus, it made it easier on me for surgery as well.
Good luck in your process!

Thanks so much for everyone's welcome and suggestions. I will definately keep everything in mind. I am planning on doing the 2 week liquid pre-op diet regardless of whether it is required (not sure yet - but since I'm an "apple shape" I think it will be) to help with the liver. I will also start implementing the soda and straw things. I hadn't thought about upping the protein to help with recovery - so that's good to know. I currently exercise 2 to 4 times a week doing jazzercise so I am hoping some of the core work will really help with recovery also. I know it really helped me recover from my c-section with my youngest. I am really working on the getting out of the mindset of eatting whatever. For me exercise has never been the issue, (I actually love it and am quite active) it's always been food choices and portion sizes. Thanks again. I've never really participated on a message board before - I'm more of a reader than a writer - but I hope to active on here since it seems like a great place for support and knowledge!
