Dr Elariny

I'm writing to see if anyone has info on Dr Elariny, He is covered under my health insurance so how does his whole process work as far as billing. I have heard so many different things through posts. I see he charges a program fee in addition to the surgery cost and is this covered by insurance as well. Also I am looking to have a revision from RNY to DS and was just making sure that he does them. If anyone could shed a little info on this for me this would be awesome.

I am not familiar with this office but wanted to let you know that insurance does not cover the program fee for any surgeons office that I am aware of and not all offices do charge this fee. Good luck!

Im not sure about the insurance questions but I do know he does the revision from RNY to DS I spoke w/ him at the last OH event in Falls Church and he said if Dr Schirmer didnt meet my needs to get him to refer me to his office I go today to Schirmer so we will see. Good luck and let me know what you find out.

Most Doctors charge a program fees.. Covers the pre op seminars.   Mine was $350.00

Nutritionist cost at Fair Oak Hospital $250.00   This is good for 1 year post op & each
year after $50.00

I do not know Dr Elariny.    He practices at Fair Oaks and Fairfax Hosp.
