Small victory...

Today I had to take my daughter to the Dr....nothing major just allergies. I'm in the waiting room..the same waiting room with the same chairs I've sat in more then 100 times in the past 6 years with my 3 kids...well it felt strange.  At first I thought maybe they were new chairs..nope still ripped and stained and then it occured to me....the arms on the chairs weren't pressing against my hips and legs...I didn't have to squeeze myself into the chair!!! And I had a little room to wiggle even!!! woohoo!!! yeah me!

It's the little things I never noticed that mean the most, I still haven't seen the scale move in almost 3 weeks, but I'm down 2 pant sizes and I stopped weighing myself cuz I was getting too discouraged about numbers:)

Yep, definately the little things that mean the most.  You will always remember that moment...and many more to come!  Kudos to you...and especially for NOT getting on the scale for a while.  It can be discouraging but at least you see first hand that you ARE losing!  I am so happy for you!

That's not a small victory, girl! You should be jumping for joy! Yay you! I'm all proud of you. Heehee. Do you think Barker's program is the problem with the numbers or are you doing the standard PNH program?

Actually I'm using Dr. Barker's plan and I think I'm at a stall because I stuck to the preop diet and lost 25lbs. before surgery and then another 20 after and now my body is adjusting. Stalls are common and I knew this, but it surprised me it was so early after surgery...but i'd been on a liquid fast for 3 weeks prior to surgery so really it wasn't that early. His plan works and because it slowly introduces new foods i've been able to tolerate everything so far with no problems.

Good luck

Christy
