Upcoming Panniculectomy

Good Morning All:  I am 2 years out from WLS and have lost 140 lbs.  I have been approved for a Panniculectomy and it is scheduled for December 16.  I am having it done by Dr. Neil Hutcher who I understand is the best of the best.  He did not do my WLS, but it was done by another Doctor in the same practice.  So I know I am in good hands with Dr. Hutcher.  I was just curoius if any one has had this procedure done with Dr. Hutcher.  I understand that he does an anchor cut procedure.  I have not acutally met with him yet.  I will see him and do my Pre-Admit in early December, so I am sure I will find out more exact details then.  But if any one has had this procedure with him (or by anyone else) I would love any info and pictures that you may be willing to share.

As always...thanks for your help.

I have not had any plastics done yet but Dr. Hutcher did do my WLS.  He is absolutely the best!  You are fortunate to have him to do any surgery on you.  He does not usually do plastics.  I wanted to congratulate you on making it this far and wish you the best of luck with your plastics.  You are in good hands!

Congrats on your success and the PS date!  :)  When you say you got your panni approved - do you mean paid by insurance?  I have asked this question to a few plastic surgeon's who told me that it is a very hard process to get PS approved as medically necessary.  I had just kind of determined to myself that should I go down that road it would be on my own dime.  If you were able to get it paid for by insurance, I would love to talk to you privately about what kind of conditions there were and proof you needed.  Thanks!

Congrats on the Panni, I have had one before all the weight was gone this being @ 170 some pounds lost but had more to go so I say Dr Hutcher comes highly reccommended but be sure you have lost all your going to loose before  this surgey meaning it will just mean you will have others follow as I have more coming my way down the road, but I had no choice as I had other health issues. Best of luck and once again congrats on the weight loss awsome job!

Hi! I see we share the same WLS! Dr Bautista is absolutely amazing. Although I have only passing by experience with Dr Hutcher, I can only hope, that since he is in the same practice that he is as great as Dr B!

Congrats on getting approved for the surgery and on moving forward with the next step in journey. Good luck with your surgery and please keep us posted on the progress you are making. I am sure you are excited and will do great!! Good luck!
