Ok need's some advice on snacking.....

I cant wait to go shopping again...I havent had a large issue with sugar, dumping hasnt really happened to me but I try really hard to stay away from anything over 11 grams or so a serving...but sodium has been what I have been craving, and I was scared of retaining water...
O by the way...someone said something about drinking when your eating...I dont do that often but I have been known to do that from time to time...what does that do to you??? I remember we were told not to do that in the begining but I didnt think that was the case throughout after being post op for a while?
Im excited about the protein bars now, Ive never really tried them because I was affraid they would all taste terrible or have too much sugar...thanks again for the suggestions!!!

I was instructed to not drink 30min before or 1 hour after eating. The reason being that you would "push" the food out of your pouch thus making you hungrier faster and then eating more during the day than you should. I've also read online that the pushing of food can enlarge your stoma. I haven't had that medically confirmed for me but it makes logical sense to me.
You have to still be careful about the sugars in protein bars. I find that I can find no sugar or very low sugar varieties at Walmart and Target, but got very aggravated when i could not find even ONE at Foodlion tonight. (I didn't feel like stopping by two stores). I checked every freaking label - there were like 25 to choose from and NOT ONE was within our sugar limits. Geez. How can people market this **** as healthy?
