Yesterday was 5 months ago I had my surgery. Wow how life has changed. I have gone from 221 to 148(two weeks ago) and from size 18-20 down to a 10 and they are getting big. I keep waiting for it to register in my head that I am not 221 now, but when I look in the mirror I still see that 221 pound person. It gets frustrating at times becasue people say oh you are getting skinny and I feel like everyone is lieing because I see myself in the mirror. I still have a way to go to reach my goal but feel that I will reach it and hopefully by then I will be able to see it when I look in the mirror. Go figure!!!!

I saw my children for the first time this past weekend since my surgery, it was interes

Congratulations on your success thus far!  You have done fantastic.  I am 3 1/2 years out and sometimes I STILL see that fat person in the mirror.  I will be waiting for hubby to come and meet me somewhere and he walks right past me...even he doesn't always recognize me!  Your mind will catch up with your body...it just takes time.  How did your children react?????

Congratulations on your weight loss and successes! It takes time for our minds to catch up with our bodies. Things will get better. All best!
