a question about rice

You can ask your sushi chef to make the rolls with OUT rice.  They will look at you funny, but just say you are allergic to rice, that it makes you swell. LOL.  Mine will make a roll in a sheet of cucumber. 

But sashimi is without rice as well, and is delish.  You just don't get all the good stuff like the avocado or cream cheese.

My place also makes an avocado salad: seafood with a half an avocado and some spicy mayo.  Very good.

But on a buffet -- I get all kinds of rolls and suck out the middle.  I carry my food card in case anyone complains that I am not eating the rice.  But yea, the rice tastes really good, too.  They season it here with this sprinkle ... yummers ...

Good am,

I agree that although rice is a personal choice for me its awful. It makes me uncomfortable and that's not working out. If have eaten pasta but its HUGE noodles and rarely. Bread is something I have once per week.

Rice, for me, i**** or miss.  Sometimes it goes down ok, and sometimes it does not.  So, I limit the amount of rice I eat.  I might eat it twice a month.

Pasta (whole wheat or white) is another hit or miss, so I avoid that one as it's more miss than hit.

Bread....almost never.  For me to have bread, it has to be toasted really well with nothing moist on it and that's just boring, so I don't eat bread or wraps.
